AI and Injury Attorneys- Louisiana

Programmers / developers are closing in on a legit injury settlement platform - and the plaintiff will get paid exponentially more than hiring a trial attorney - simply because the fee is materially less that the standard trial attorney cut.
Developers in LA are about ready to unleash this - and it will destroy trial attorneys - my question, since Louisiana is so corrupt, won’t a judge simply say the platform is not legal or valid?

Such platitudes, sensationalism and generalizations here.
Can you link to this “platform” or ant least describe it? And Louisiana is typically a follower, not a leader. Why is this “platform” being “unleashed” in Louisiana before anyone else. And what’s your link for Louisiana being anymore corrupt than any other state?

If just shifting this mentally corrupt industry from people to bots while INCREASING its cost to society (insurance), meh.
OP smells like a bot.

Explain the platform to me and I can answer.
Is this just for quantums or something?

It 100% smells like a bot but the account looks legit. It's been around since 2016 and has participated in some random threads lately. I don't think AI bots are that good now.

It has nothing to do with corruption, every state is wary of this type of thing as it gets very close to a developer / AI engaging in the unauthorized practice of law. Technology can certainly assist lawyers in doing there job, but we are a long way off from technology replacing large swaths of attorneys.

People just say this like it’s a fact. Louisiana is audited and everything is public. Louisiana isn’t any different than any Fortune 500 company or other State in terms of corruption. Louisiana will go nowhere until this meme is confronted.

PI has always been known as the easiest practice area. I bet it's the first to fall to our AI overlords

1. Not sure you know what exponents are.
2. At best, this will get people a larger percentage of their dubious soft tissue “settle for the coverage limit” claims
3. Essentially any big money case is going to have complex fights over causation and liability, which most people aren’t going to be willing to trust AI to navigate.
4. Offering the service for free is one thing, but selling access as a service imparts a ton of liability that will bankrupt the company the first time the AI does something patently stupid.
And I say all of that as someone who does, literally, zero PI work.

With the Governor of Louisiana being an Personal Injury Attorney and the biggest NIL guy in state a Personal Injury Attorney and one of the owners of the Pelicans being a Personal Injury Attorney you really need to ask this question. Follow the money.

He’s dead and hasn’t been Governor for 25 years. Got anything in the last decade?

I appreciate the feedback - it is anticipated that AI will reduced legal work by 47%.
There is change coming - just trying to get my head around how LA will be impacted.

Exponentially means a power of ten, at the minimum, correct? 10x? I doubt it. Unless Grant Cardone (McNeese grad) is involved (just kidding, his RE deals don’t pay shite).

AFAIK many PI attorneys only charge fees on the increased amount of recovery. My neighbor was in a wreck and tried to negotiate with Allstate directly. Allstate said his claim wasn’t worth anything. 0.
He knew that was BS and he was hurt because the other driver crashed into him.
So he hired a lawyer. It went to court and settled before they even had a trial. For paint and suffering. Medical bills and missed work, he received a fair settlement.
Please explain how AI would have made Allstate pay without the threat of a trial.

AI (a real one) will be outlawed.
Society would break down if it was told all facts and truth.

Playing along with the OP: I could see an AI platform that has an algorithm that researches a plaintiff’s profile (social media, education, credit score, etc.) and analyzes the facts of both sides case, the jurisdiction, etc., and says based on experience that plaintiff will settle for X after a certain amount of time or won’t ever settle or something else. It would then do the negotiating through a bot. Basically sabermetrics for attorneys. But I don’t see that available or effective for quite a while.

But, he's pretty emblematic of a State that looks at public corruption as just part of doing business. The fact we've dodged a high profile (like a Congressman or Governor) for a handful of years doesn't negate the fact that we still have so much public corruption that the FBI SAC through November 2017 said "it couldn't get much worse".
Mayors, Water Boards, utility commissioners, dog catchers, if there can be a "most corrupt of all time", we have a candidate or candidates.
Don't like it, if you don't want to. Vote against it if you like. Don't deny it, or else you're part of the problem.
