So what's the deal for the side pot. I think a lot of the posters on here would be down for around $50 a person. Would make it very very interesting!

My portfolio seems to be fairly unique....about half of my assets I'm the only holder.
Which makes me doubt my selections.
The only "common" holding I have is a dalliance into Apple.

Game doesn't have a 3 day wait on transactions is all I've learned so far.

Fortunately I've had time to play the life of a day trader.
Next week I'll be back at work and won't have time to chase the pennies.
I'm a little frustrated with the trading system. It is very hard to get the price it says you should get. Meaning the trade price is often different than the quoted price. Ugh!

I've placed 2 orders but since then I have had a problem entering the number of shares I want to purchase. Anyone have any tips? The numlock is okay because I can enter the price.

quote:I've noticed that also. I have my Schwab StreetSmartPro trading screen running and the current prices on there and the current prices on the game's trading screen sometimes differ by as much as 40 cents/share on some securities.

I've already caught myself (twice) this morning entering a trade on one screen that I meant to be entering on the other platform. Fortunately I realized it at the last second before I submitted the order.

I have noticed the cursor does not automatically advance to the 'shares' entry box after entering the limit price. I have to move the cursor to the share's box and then click on it and then enter the number of shares.

Amen, I've had trades differ by $.30. Thought I was going to make some money but it executed the trade at the same price i bought it even though the quoted price was much higher.

My god I'm glad don't have a million dollars

Posted on 1/2/15 at 12:03 pm to bayoubengals88

When people ask me how they can have a million dollars by day trading stocks my answer to them is the first thing they have to do is start with two million dollars....

Yes, you're right.
I generally use limits but occasionally use market when I want to sell/buy quickly. Usually though, the market price will come in somewhere within the bid/ask spread. Today, the price has been moving wildly. I don't usually trade stock like this so this might be normal in a highly volatile stock.

I have figured it out. For some reason I have to double right click in the box. I don't have to do it anywhere else on the screen. Strange.

I noticed the other day when I put an order in it was difficult to put in the number I shares you wanted. I just drug the cursor to a random number.
I am away from my desktop, would any of you gents be kind enough to let me know if my order posted?

I see 1700 shares of Twitter at $36.23

I think I'm ready to quit this already. Not doing so good. Go ahead and cash me out and send me the check. KThanks.

Ok- dumb noob question. I just shorted TWTR at $36.81, then covered my short at $35.76- that means I made $.05/share?
