Why I'm not day trading.

I may keep my current holdings till the end.

Ok- dumb noob question. I just shorted TWTR at $36.81, then covered my short at $35.76- that means I made $.05/share?

That's my problem really.
Don't have the time to seriously do it, amd it's not a skill I would want to use on "real money" anyway. So why develop it?

Awesome- that's what I thought- the buy price was $35.81, not $36.81. But at least now I'm figuring out that concept.
Thanks and good luck

He doesn't need luck.
We do.
I'll be absolutely shocked if he isn't in the top 3.

I just don't take enough risk to make big money on trades in spite of this game being only play money.
So far today I've just mirrored my trades in my Schwab account for the most part so you won't see really big swings in my game's portfolio balance.
If I can learn that this game is only phony money, maybe I'll take more beta but until then, I'll just be my boring self.

Yes, today was fun. My strategy will change from a sprint to a marathon very soon. I had a lot of time today to daytrade and it was nerve wracking even with fake money.
Thanks to OnTheBrink for setting this up.

Your shorting those 38,600+ shares of BCLI and covering at a per share profit of $.87/share was a home run!

White Perch is ok. He just needs to give up on landing a 15% dividend

I hate gambling and I can't stand to lose money. 21 shares is all I'm willing to risk.
Besides, I'm not actually expecting to make money with this. I'm just learning. I learn faster with skin in the game. I've got a day job that pays well and mutual funds and ETFs as investment vehicles in tax sheltered and non tax shelters accounts. The Robinhood app makes playing with solo stocks and non commission free ETFs much cheaper.
