Zach- Also check out Wright's Sound Gallery. They price match Best Buy & will deliver and setup. The wife bought me a TV a couple of years ago from there. She told them she'd buy it if they'd load it up and deliver right then. I did some searching and called them 2 days later and told them I found the same TV cheaper at Best Buy and they credited me the difference.

Wright's is where I used to live. In University Terrace. I'll give them a call. Thanks.

If that's a way to get music for free forget it. Some woman got fined $10,000 last month for stealing music.

If you're worried, just go to CC's Coffee and use their internet.

I'm looking for 46 inch diagonal. They all seem to start at 550. Guess I'll just go with that.

Looked at some of the new "LED" TVs (not to be confused with "LCD"), the images are amazing, and the set is very very thin. My be time to upgrade my old 42" plasma.

Yeah. You are not going to find a 46 in TV under that dude.

OK, found out Target will have Westinghouse 40 inch for 298.

I also made a mistake with the 46. I was assuming that's the TV diagonal. It's actually the screen diagonal. So a 46 inch set will probably require a 50 inch space and I don't have that.

So, the 40 inch TV will probably require a 44 inch space and that's fine.

However, does anyone know if Target has an installation option like Best Buy's Geek squad?

Zach, you should look at Frys.com on Friday. I got $400 off a laptop yesterday with a i-5 processer and it is back to retail price today. You may find a TV online massively discounted that makes it worth the delivery charge and pay someone to come install it for you if you need the service.

I crammed a 47" LCD into a 48.5" space in an entertainment center a few years ago, but you don't want to cut it that close as I was measuring to 2/10 on an inch. I think the 120hz LED's are the best value for current standards and will give you years of quality HD viewing and they are much lighter than standard LCD sets. I have my eyes on a 42" LED to swap in and out of bedroom and the covered deck if the price hits a certain range, they only weigh 40-44 lbs.

PS - You should measure the space precisely and match to the dimension of the new set, you want the largest screen possible due to 16:9 aspect. A 42" would have made a lot of difference compared to the 47" given our viewing area. Read an article on best viewing distance from various size TV's to get an idea. My recollection of 42" was 8'-10' distance from the tv for best viewing experience.

Thanks. The problem with the measuring is that it can't be precise on human access to the wiring behind the set.

The hole I've got is easy to measure precisely. But a 46 inch set, with a total diagonal of 50 inches would be impossible to set up without the swivel I've got to set it on and I'm not sure how forgiving the swivel would be with a bigger set.

It might work since a flat screen will swivel without the back end thickness banging against the side wall.

I've even thought that I could try a 46 inch and if the installer has a problem I can remove the side doors. I never use those doors and they take up 2 inches.

Measure the opening in your cabinet- take a ruler with you to the store and measure the tv-

Cables can be long enough to hook up before you set the tv in the cabinet

As for installation- Best BUY will do it but they never stop selling you unnecessary stuff until they drive out the driveway

Not sure what city you live it - but others install- especially locally owned stores- and heck probably your neighbors kid or nephew can hook it up for you!

Zach - let me say this - You should buy the cheapest television you can find. I'm sure you will be very, very happy with your decision for months to come.
