Zero reason to schedule difficult OOC opponents moving forward

It does nothing for you. Also playing in the SEC is no longer an advantage.

True, for the most part the committee went strictly by overall record prior to the conf championship games.

schedule teams like Cincinnati, Houston, Virginia, Wake..

Change the strategy Verge.

Technically lsu didn’t play a difficult ooc schedule. They just laid an egg against the Trojans.

This new playoff system is dog shite.
SMU, Indiana, Boise, and ASU all being in the playoffs is hilarious

We lost four games. The ooc games didn’t do us in.

We need to get out of playing Clemson

I’m telling yall. Clemson would agree that this series should be cancelled. It would be a mutual agreement.

This is the part I still can't agree with. Those aforementioned teams are NOT one of the 12 best teams in the country (I might be able to include Boise). Until SOS or some type of RPI is used this will happen again and again. I hope the games validate it in a HUGE way. We'll see...

Been on this for months. I would expect it at this point.

We already have" Kelly softness" in place( can't believe I have to say that) so let's soften things up even more with cupcakes
Posted on 12/8/24 at 11:55 am to tigerbait3488
Cupcake OOC and go back to divisions... That is what the SEC needs.
Posted on 12/8/24 at 11:55 am to tigerbait3488
We could move to the acc or big 12 and run shite

Well, it certainly made a difference last year when Alabama got in.
Signed, Florida State
The SEC IS still a huge advantage but you have to not only quit losing so many games but also pass the eye test. Alabama certainly did NOT against Vandy and OU that LSU had no trouble beating. Ole Miss has no legitimate gripe either. Perhaps South Carolina has the best case since barely losing to Alabama and the fact they should have won the LSU game. But then again, A&M went into Columbia and beat them down. The SEC should play consistent football just like any other conference.

This is true, but we certainly tried to play a difficult OOC schedule. Playing two P4 OOC games when we are only required to play one. Scheduling FSU, USC, and Clemson for 5 years.
I think this year has shown that none of that shite matters. And it’s not just about the other conferences. UGA played a top 3 SOS in the country and dominated Texas on their own field, while Texas played the easiest schedule in the SEC with their best win over 8-4 Texas A&M. But the CFP committee had UGA below Texas going into the SECCG.
It’s just painfully obvious that the committee is counting losses above all else.

Nope, it’s dumb to schedule top ooc teams.

Or… hear me out… don’t lay an egg in the second half against A&M or against Florida.
