Zero coaching at end of Lady Tigers loss to A&M

Down by 2 with 48 sec remaining and all they do is pass back and forth around the top of the key. No rotations ..no nothing and ends up turning it over. This program has levelled off to a middle of the pack. Really thought Caldwell would be better than this and would actually recruit. This program used to be elite!

Definitely disappointing - several straight Final Fours to a mess and hardly breaking even.
If Caldwell is an example of an Alleva hire, we better hope he is gone when Miles retires.

How do you know there was " no coaching" ? Could it be the players just failed to execute. No that never happens, its always some perceived coaching failure. How about a little credit for going on the road and taking the #9 team in the country to the wire? Did that just happen or was there , maybe some coaching involved.
Of course not, we always have to show how knowledgeable we are and make these after the fact judgments.
I don't disagree the program has fallen back some, but it may just be related to personnel issues. Ballard has just returned to the team and is not back in the flow. Maybe they have
3 -4 more wins and could be ranked or knocking on the door. But , maybe it was more important to establish short term priorities for long term benefit.

LSU played well considering the talent they have.

Very. Undisciplined. No rebounding

On the contrary, I thought the team played quite well. They actually had a chance to win this game against a top ten ranked team. Regardless of the outcome, the team is indeed looking better than they did back in November. Ballard didn't play all that well but, this is only her second game back. There's not a lot of elite talent on this team but, taking that into consideration they're starting to play like a more cohesive unit at this point. I'm encouraged by what I've seen these past two games. Nikki and her staff are doing a good job, but they're going to HAVE to hit the recruiting trail to sign some more talent................particularly in the front court. Are back court is actually pretty solid at this point.

Let me get this straight, you want a woman to teach these girls to drive?

And penetrate. Don't forget about penetration.

They allow too much penetration which is obviously something they've learned from their coach.

Very disappointed. For the salary she is making no excuse! I sure thought she was a grand slam hire coming from UCLA.

But she's so pretty though.

No recruiting.
This will lead to her eventual demise.

I thought we played well for the most part. Whats head scratching is some of these unforced turnovers. Like some of the players seem to lack intelligence. I don't understand why Caldwell continues to try to force Rina Hill. She isn't very good. I'd much rather have Rhodes or Deemer. I thought Caldwell did do a good job this game. Although I disagree with how she did her rotations in the 2nd half. I was looking to see more of Deemer. Does anyone know if we are going to replace that other coach who left this offseason?

For this coach to make $1M/year is a ridiculous waste of university funds. I don't care if our women's BBall is a .500 club, but if that's what we're satisfied with pay someone $150,000/ year and be done with it. Nikki is a joke.

A million fricking dollars??? For a women's basketball coach? Goddamn, does the women's basketball program even bring in a million dollars?
