You think it's a coincidence that CEO and CEO are the same initials

Go Tigers, I was ready to cut his nuts off after Miss State and Troy but he finished pretty strong.

“Geaux” is so freaking stupid. Anybody know by chance when LSU adopted this? My dad who is in his 60’s and attended LSU said it wasn’t like this back in the day. I get that it’s for branding purposes and what not, just never cared for it personally.

absolutely not. I know for a fact that CEO was named after CEO.

I know "Geaux" was used in 2001.

Some people wake up and post the first thought they have. This thread is proof.

I first saw it as an LSU student in the late 1970s.

Actually, you turn yours in. You think “Geaux” is something that is traditional? It’s not. It’s some redneck bullshite that started in the 90s. Don’t ever fricking question a fan than has been around longer than you have.

I like "Geaux" bc it's unique to LSU. However, the irony is that, according to a French teacher friend of mine, the hard "g" doesn't exist in the French dialect, so it would really be pronounced "zho".

Don't ever question a fan that's been around longer than you how long you been around? Geaux is different if you don't like it root for someone else

For comparison sake we will use the 2015 Miles “Hot Seat” season where he went 8-3 in the regular season with the cancellation of the McNeese State game (a highly probable win)and finished 9-3
This is a good barometer for the program status:
In 2017, O is 6-2 with 2 wins against a team with a winning SEC record. Counting TAMU because they were 4-3 when we played them (ended at 4-4).
In 2015 Miles was 5-3 in SEC games. 3 of the five had a winning records TAMU and MSU were both 4-4. Again LSU gave them a loss so they were 4-3 without the LSU game.
If you drop the 4-4 teams it is eerily similar as follows with wins over 7 win teams:
In 2015 LSU beat UF who won the east.
In 2017, LSU beat AU who won the west.
The main difference between the 2 seasons was the Strength of Schedule
In 2017, the SoS is 49.
Massey Rating of 21
2015, SoS was Number 2
Massey Rating of 6
