These old eyes have seen a bunch of LSU basketball. Marlon Taylor right up there with these guys to ever play for LSU. Here is my favorites list for dunking and athleticism. Here is a link to an all time archived topic.

DeWayne Scales (might be the most explosive)
Glover Jackson (He could really really get up)
Ronald Dupree
Swat Mitchell
Vernell Singleton
Jerry Ice Reynolds
Mo Williamson
Tyrus Thomas
Stromile Swift
Jabari Smith
Jarrell Martin
Jordan Mickey
CJ

there is an alternate reality where that 2000 team wins the national title.

that arizona game was the best any lsu team has ever played.

Ice Reynolds should be included but Taylor seems shorter than the rest with better leaping ability.

Tyrus just seemed like he should be pulling down 13 maybe 14 boards a night with his frame and athleticism.

I hope you sincerely just overlooked him but you can’t start a dunking thread and not have Swift on that list. He could jump out of the building and he did it often

Chris Jackson’s vertical was also ridiculous.

Great list

I'm partial to Swat Mitchell for power dunks and blocked shots.

Jordan Mickey also belongs on the list

Singleton was better as was most everyone on that ist. But I’ll add him for a youngster like you.

You never saw anything like Swat and Scales. They brought funk to the dunk. Nasty nasty dunkers.

Vernel Singleton, Ice Reynolds, CJ and Mo Williamson (for smaller guys could really get up), Tyrus Thomas. Seeing all those guys, I still think Marlon is still more explosive but Vernel and Tyrus are close.

We haven't even seen much of Marlon Taylor, but he's already wowed us.

dude was just incredible. carried a team to the sweet 16 basically by himself. There were other quality players, but he was one of if not the best player in the nation that year.
