There were absolutely some people on this board saying this early in the season.

Burrow definitely better, but Etling would excel in this offense as well.

Not a fair comparison from the offense last year.

Etling was tough, a gamer, bad back and all.
He gutted it out and did as good of a job as he could do. NO ONE should be trashing him.

Burrow is a doggone good college quarterback, as well. He is healthy, and has wheels which Danny never had.

Both good Tigers. Why is this a thing, anyway?

Yes, I specifically remember slackster as one of them.

The fact Ensminger has the playbook open shows the level of trust they have in Burrow that they didn't in Etling.

I could stand less first down passes that result in 30 yard attempts downfield, but overall, we have been less predictable.

Still plenty of room for improvement in the Red Zone.

Heck yeah, there was. Many ranters were certain that Burrow = Etling.

Burrow's passes seem to be on the money, for the most part. Like a pitcher hitting his spots. of course I'm drunk for most of the game, but I was drunk when Etling was QB also.

Wait, I thought we were debating Anthony Jennings being better than Joe Burrow?

I was debating it up to/through Auburn.

I hadn't seen enough out of Burrow put him over Etling at that point, even if he had potential to be better. He was also completing less than 50% of his passes and whatnot.

I think he's better than Etling now though. I think Canada would/could have gotten more out of Burrow than he got out of Etling.

I feel the exact opposite.

I haven’t even seen Etling mentioned on this board in a while. Wtf are you talking about?

It happened. I thought people were rating Burrow based on his potential rather than his actual production/results. His potential was higher than Etling, but he hadn't produced at a higher level through the first few games.

At this point I think Burrow has better talent than Etling, and Canada would have gotten just as much or more out of Burrow.

Etling looked pretty damn good in the Ensminger offense as well.

Burrow looks like he has more potential, but I still dont think his field results have shown to be that much better than what Etling showed here yet.

I thought it was readily apparent that Burrow was much more talented than Etling. Not to take anything away from Etling but they're on two different levels.
