No it is not! I went their for a couple classes and it is not the Mecca of college football. There are plenty of other schools that beat UT in facilities right here in the SEC

If he was talking about high School football, then I'd agree.

It was many many years ago. Or at least back before scholarship limits. Texas. Oklahoma. Alabama Ohio StAte. Michigan. uSC. Notre Dame. Penn StAte. Nebraska. The national, champion came from here schools for 15 or 20 years. The scholarship limits changed that.

I believe we will. With the talent in the state of Texas. They will improve. Don’t know if he is the guy. He does recruit against Oklahoma and TAM and LSU. And other national, programs.

Texas will never be what it used to be. TCU, Baylor, TAMU, U of H, LSU, and Oklahoma all get top recruits from Texas. They no longer get all the local top talent and never will again

ESPN changed that. Those schools got the top recruits in large part because they got the most TV coverage. As ESPN and other sports outlets expanded to the point that you can watch damn near every relevant game, schools in smaller markets benefited greatly. And, as a result, schools in the larger TV markets like PAC 12 and Big 10 country have a harder time drawing or keeping recruits. Who the hell from the South wants to play in cold assed Michigan in late November when they can get just as much TV time playing in the SEC close to home?

Side note: I switched to Playstation Vue and it came with the Longhorn Network. THAT pretentious fricking channel pretty much sums up the mentality of UT and why they annoy the crap out of me.

I do find it funny that 100% of the LSU fan base would’ve gladly had him as coach in 2016 but now, he’s all of a sudden a huge villain.

Doesn’t talk like us though. I forgot.

Definitely not 100%, I was not a fan and was happy that he went to Texas. I've said many times, he was over-hyped, was commanding too high of a price for a guy who had just lost to SMU, and, most of all, I was certain that he would end up in Texas at some point and I expected him to bolt as soon as the job came open, putting us right back to searching for the next coach.

I certainly didn't want him. A little creepy and slimy for me,and he's always lost games he shouldn't (yeah, I remember Troy). Texas fans will tire of him in a few more years. They'll have to keep him longer than they will want to, though.

Overstating that point. I wasn’t that interested. He lost too many games at Houston to significantly less talented teams than he had there. That was a big concern.

He's the HBC of UT. What is he suppose to say? But you must be triggered by his comments with is sad.

In your little mind I'm guessing that you believe that LSU is the mecca of college football?
