You don't change your stripes. I see JR all over again. He had a chance to be a top 5 pick if he just took care of business this year. He didn't.

Sorry, I just don't see dealing with undisclosed personal issues in the offseason, suffering a number of injuries throughout the year and never getting in any kind of legit trouble as "red flags". Players of his caliber have done actual bad things before and still been drafted very, very high.

. Saints would love to get a top ten talent at pick 32.

Not if he is a LSU player. I will get bashed for it, but doesn't make it any less true.

I don't think he will get out of shape. What I think will happen is he will lose his motivation once he gets his big arse check. He will likely play well enough to get his big money contact, and then be off and on his entire career after. Sad but that's the only conclusion you can come to after all that's happened. I don't think he accidentally got out of shape while back in GA or what ever. I firmly believe that he thought gaining some weight would be good for him and that he could just dominate after gaining the weight.

It doesn't work like that though, it needs to be hard work weight, and that would've helped him.

Duh, but won't happen because

1. lol Saints hate LSU
2. Saints wouldn't even have a good enough pick for him

i mean, a healthy in shape Arden Key is exactly the talent the Saints are in need of.

But his "flags" are pretty glaring. One has to question his ability for a long term commitment to the game of football as well as his ability to stay clean.

Curious to know how the rant feels about him after this season?

I think we are one dynamic player away from ensuring Cam Jordan a spot in the NFL Hall of Fame. So bring him on down the River.

Plus, sky is the limit for Key if he's not on a bottom feeder defense and has 2 years to get reps.

honestly, No. I just feel like players built like Arden Key don't play well in the NFL. They just can't hold up against the run.

Same height as Danielle Hunter but weighs more

These questions can never be asked in a vacuum. Would I like Jimmy Graham to come back? Sure. Would I give up multiple picks for him? No.

Would I like Key on the Saints? Yes. he has shown he can be an elite pass rusher.

Would I use my first round pick on him? No, he has injury questions and missed part of his junior season and all of spring practice due to some still unexplained reason.

I don't think he loves football

he has been mostly great for LSU and I wish him all the success in the world

I don't think his heart is in it- could be wrong
