Kiffin got Ole Miss its first 10 win regular season in 2021 in his second year and its first 11 win seasons ever in 2023. He won 5 SEC games his first year after taking over a decimated 4-8 team. The only blemish is the rough ending to last season, where we still finished around where we were projected.

Every good team has to win some close games. The only two we won this year that were in doubt up to the end were LSU and A&M.

I get that he rubs a lot of people the wrong way. But I really don't understand people dogging his coaching ability.

Kiffin is going to be like Leach but for completely different reasons. He will win lots of games at second tier schools, but will never get an invite to a top tier school because they view him as a liability. OM has nothing to lose and can afford to wade through a controversy if/when he has one. Hell, it's a requirement to coach there to have baggage.

I’d like to hire Kiffin… as BK’s OC.

I would take kiffin in a heartbeat, that guy’s talent evaluation is on the same level as Kirby and Saban. Just imagine Harlem berry in kiffin’s offense

Kelly won the sec west his first year taking over a dismantled program left behind by your boy Kiffin’s close friend Orgeron

Kiffin …he's not looking for the limelight like a guy who insists you call him Coach Prime.

No, he prefers “Joey Freshwater”.

Lane can recruit
I mean.. not really

2020 - 32nd
2021 - 17th
2022 - 15th
2023 - 17th
2024 - 15th
2025 - Doesn't have a single commit. For comparison, LSU has 8 commits and 3 five stars in the class already. Ole Miss is the only school in the conference with no '25 commits.

He's basically had one good transfer portal class that's being bank rolled at a level that is obviously not sustainable. 2024 is it for Lane at Ole Miss. If he doesn't win one next year, he probably never will. Not at Ole Miss at least.

There’s a lack of seriousness, lack of maturity vibe about Kiffin that would make me wary. There’s also the sense that he’s constantly looking for that next job. He’s improved Ole Miss exponentially, and good for them. Not my cup of tea, though, and at LSU, we should always be able to hire better than that.

I would not swap Kelly for Kiffin. I wouldn't be totally devastated if they replaced Kelly with Kiffin.

Being as you are stuck with Kiffin what else could you say? If you think Kiffin is a better coach than Kelly, then you are just being an old Mrs. homer. He is a better fit for old Mrs because neither of you have won anything of consequence since Christ was a little boy.

I mean.. Put ANY coach at Ole Miss and I'll give you 20 years. The smart bet would still be on them NOT winning one.

would that be an upgrade

No it wouldn’t. I know this board is in love with Kiffin but he’s a huge step behind BK. He’s spends too much time on twitter, he’s immature, he’s had 1 really good season and has never shown the ability to sustain anything. Has never sniffed the SECCG.

He’s never won when it mattered. The biggest win of his career has been a shootout vs the worst defense in LSU history.
