Philly. I hate the Lakers, but then again I'd hate for him to play for a pathetic franchise and lose 100 games a year.

Ingram is just to good of a player for the 76'ers to pass on. So I think it comes down to Simmons or Bender for the Lakers. Got to give the edge to Bender on that one. Best thing for Simmons would be to land in the #3 spot with the Celtics. Hopefully Simmons isn't one of those draft day cases where he keeps sliding back in the draft, but don't be surprised if it happens. Could be a good thing for the Pelicans though if he slid that far, but I would still pass on him for Held or Dunn or one of the other shooters in the draft.

I hate how so many of our fans share these sentiments. Yes the team absolutely under performed. Simmons also had the best statistical season of any freshman in college basketball history and LSU sold more season tickets and made more money this season than it has in a long long time. He did a lot for us and actually did like LSU.

The team underperforming I think was due to some jealousy and an incompetent coach.

How? By having the best numbers in the history of collegiate freshmen?

If you paid attention this past basketball season and think that Simmons gives one single shite about LSU, then I simply don't what to tell you. His attitude, effort, demeanor, etc. was right there for all to see. And if you think all of that demonstrates his devotion to this team and our university, you're delusional.

It astounds me how so many on this board have the P&G blinders on: if a guy plays here, he's beyond criticism.

Don't know how anyone can live their lives like that.

You're the delusional one. He led the team in every statistical category and averaged a double double. You don't do that without effort.

The funny part here is you could apply this to a lot of football players too, do they really care about LSU? Or are they just using us to get to the NFL?

Or how about an even funnier part of this is if our coaching wasn't so horrendous and some other players stepped up more and we made a good postseason run people like you would be LOVING Ben Simmons, even if he did nothing different as an individual.

Fact is Ben Simmons had a phenomenal historic freshman season, the coach could not guide the TEAM to a successful season. Simmons was a great ambassador in his short time here so why be a prick and down him for no real reason other making things up about him?

Kid don't give a schit about LSU. So I could give a schit about Simmons. But then again, the fish rots from the head down. Would you want to play under Jones for 4 years? Guess I'll give the kid a pass.

Lakers. Why not.
