What would be best is Nuss returning, working all offseason on his form/accuracy, and Underwood learning from him.
Im with you as long as you include 3 high quality transfer Olinemen in this scenario. Otherwise, we need a more mobile QB.

honestly thing 2025 is not gonna be a championship year no matter who is QB

People thought this would be a playoff team (lol) but next year should be better than this years team if Nuss returns. Especially if their is some continuity on the coaching staff

Like I said, you’d be sacrificing 2025 to plan for the future with Underwood.

That's the thing, I don't think it necessarily helps the future or Underwood's development

If Nuss plays against Bama like he did again the Aggies, he can go........

What makes you say this? We lose 4 of 5 offensive linemen and potentially our top 3 wide receivers.

frick no
frick frick NO NO .

Nuss has to come back.

He's in the "First Year Starter " mode a la Burrow and Daniels.

Just getting his feet wet.

He'll blow up in 2025 if they can find some adequate OL replacements for Campbell, Dellinger and Jones.

They'll have to come from Transfers and Portal because they're not currently on the roster.

OL guru that CAN TEACH must be brought in as well.

Without both of these happening, it will be a total shite show next season.

Underwood will be a DT that they sub-In just in case Slinger doesn't blow up..........

This is a good point but if he’s ready, we should use him.

Somebody is going to transfer out. People forget we have 5 star Hurley on the roster, and Underwood ain't coming to LSU to sit on the bench for 2 seasons. I think Ricky Collins transfers to another in state school honestly.

He ended 4 star rightfully so. He’s only 16 and won’t be SEC ready for years

Nuss should show a large jump after playing a year.

OL is the most talented position group on the team. I think each tackle has a direct replacement.

The freshmen & sophomore class are the most talented groups on the team as well. The overall loss is not that significant.

And Kelly has been elite in the portal. I just have to trust they will fill holes there where needed

Yet, LSU will be returning a very solid defense. That will be the strength against Clemson.

Nuss is QB is 25, Collins is QB in 26, Hurley is QB in 27/28, Underwood is QB in 29, Haven is QB in 30.

This seems highly unlikely to me

Are you sure? I mean we’re ok on defense but I don’t think it’s going to be great next year.

Why are we not fielding championship competing teams FOUR recruiting classes into the BK era. That’s the question you need to ask yourself

Well … because there were only 39 players 3 years ago. Ed O ruined LSU football for a generation. ONLY CBK could have turned that into a middling SEC team. You must have “low football IQ”.

He’s only fully recruited 2 classes. And the team inherited was pretty terrible.

LSU has only sustained some sort of success fully due to Brian Kelly & the transfer portal.

No. If we aren't competing for a playoff spot in 25, then we're again a few years away again starting in 26.
