No but I would dearly love to bring Ron Cooper back. A wiki search shows that he's currently HC at Long Island University. There's a bidding war the Tigers should be able to win.

Raymond was the best coach that we lost
Sure, if you ignore Blake Baker, Jamar Cain, Daronte Jones, and Mickey Joseph.

He got lazy and is part of the reason our secondary is where it is right now. I’m glad he’s gone.

You aren’t acknowledging that if Raymond was such a great coach he would have leveraged his talent to not get completely arse raped by a scrub qb that didn’t do shite for the remainder of the year?
By your same thought process, steeples isn’t responsible for shite, house is. Hypocritical much?

Yes and it's not even close. His recruits with no training are better than what we got with training.

All these “loyal” LSU fans blaming Raymond for a DC who hasn’t fielded a competitive defense in over a decade.

His replacement is trying to fill roster spots due to him not recruiting well his past few years. A majority of those spots are transfers. Until we have some stability in the secondary, particularly at CB, it will continue to be a work-in-progress. We have to hope guys like Harris, Toviano, and other freshmen and sophomores develop. Those are the guys that will tell the tale of the current staff since they’ll be the ones to provide that stability starting next year.

You’re right, the DB coach doesn’t play a significant role in giving up 600 yards passing

Steeples is responsible for the lack of any good recruits. Class sucks and you know it

Bates-mcbryde-Rogers-foster-Evans
That’s a good haul of talent

Arent Welch and Ryan Raymond’s recruits? What did savion smith, tolliver, ricks, Derrick Davis and several other of Raymond’s 4/5 stars amount to? frickall

Honestly yes I would like getting him back.

I linked his all-time recruits if you’d like to take a look and see how many are in the NFL. It’s quite a few

Eli Ricks - NFL player, 2 year starter here where he had 5INTs and 2 TDs.
Smith- also an NFL player, 1 year in college, 3INTs, 60 tackles and 1 TD

Lol we’ll argue for basketball season. We seem to agree on a lot when it comes to football.

Lmao. So you aren’t acknowledging the Natty the year before with a freshman DB he recruited
That defense was not very good. The secondary especially got lit up almost every game that year.

You could argue bill Busch was one of the causes of that.
