I would’ve.

At that point I thought that was our best chance. Our D had been on the field a long damn time.

I never thought we would have an xp blocked

Yes. I am of the point now that going for 2 is always the right call. OT is 50-50 and the two-pointer it 50-50. You also have to make the PAT to force the 50-50 OT...so really, the odds are better going for two to win. Furthermore, it reduces the number of plays your team plays...lowering chance of fatigue and injury.

Yes, just because everything had gone so wrong all game and we finally had such momentum. Their d was gassed too I think at that moment.

Yes a 1000 times. I said it when they scored the TD. Daniels was making FSU defenders look stupid all night. Special teams had problems all night. We could barely stop them defensively without FSU screwing up. Did you want to have to win it with a FG?

No. I would have kicked it...even though I was concerned that we'd miss the extra point.

Rather have lost by 1 going for 2 WITH a set of BALLS ! Then put a guy that already had 1 blocked try again. And we had ALL THE MO !

As soon as we got down to the 3 yard line and had that one play left I sent a text to my nephew saying we should go for 2 and end the game right now if we get this touchdown.

I was right.

My thinking was we would have had them back on their heels.

Leading up to the final td i thought we should maybe go for 2 but after we scored we needed to kick XP. Man u think the blacklash is bad now, if he went for 2 and failed. They would have been chasing the buses

Before the 10 minute replay delay when FSU was completely gassed, probably.

After that bullshite when they had time to regroup and recover, probably not.

That delay was outrageous.

No. You had all the momentum & your defense just got a breather after a huge stop. You play for overtime
Im surprised you got as many downvotes as you did. I also think that 95% of LSU fans that say they wanted to go for 2 would have been pissed that we didnt kick XP if we didnt score the 2pts.

At the time I said I’d like to see it, but I understood the conventional approach.

Bottom line is XPs should be automatic in P5 football.

Good question.. No time outs left, With only one second on the clock, referees moving around trying to figure out when to start the clock. If you try to hurry and call a two point play, guarantee at least one person on the offense will be confused which will cause a penalty (false start) .. I guess my answer is No..

No not after going 99 yards for a touchdown. You had all the momentum going into OT. If you're a huge underdog that can't compete then you go for 2 to steal the game that you shouldn't have won anyway. But not this game and not with this team.

…huh? That was going to be on the final play of regulation had FSU not called the second TO.

XP/2pt. is one untimed play.

Go for 2!! What are the chances of winning the game in overtime compared to having the ball for one play on the 2 yard line?..especially since they had just executed the previous play with the same field position for a touchdown. Not to mention the extra wear and tear on the team and chance of injuries for a non conference opponent? I don't see the logic for going into overtime in that situation!

I didn’t think about but all my buddies thought we should have went for 2 based on the situation and the way we had their defense basically on the ropes - they all thought we should have went for it
