Jay went back and stressed “RIGHT NOW” when saying not interested in the MLB. Then repeated “RIGHT NOW”

Also, I don’t handle losing SEC record in baseball well

Unless Jay made more comments than I have heard, he didn’t “threaten with the MLB.”

He stated very clearly that he wasn’t offered an MLB job, in response to a question he was asked.

He never threatened to leave for the MLB that I’ve seen.

I’m not considering them either, though they both own JJ head to head (Early 5-1 and came to the Box and dominated us).

Just saying Verge isn’t pulling either of them, nor should he even be thinking search unless JJ shits the bed again next year.
Michael Early would crawl across broken glass to coach at LSU if Jay left.

He has zero ties to Teas A&m, an inferior program, outside of the last 3 years.

I'd want Mike Bianco just for the Ole Miss melt.

That’s the exception, if Tony wants back in the college game Verge makes the tough call and gets it done.

Why would Verge fire a guy to replace him with a guy he consistently embarrassed on the biggest stage?

Contrary to popular belief, once Tony got the train rolling, he did less with more than Jay.

Maybe as the bullpen catcher.

judging by your posts last year, you don't handle a winning SEC record in baseball well either

He only said that because of revenue sharing. Now with the season so bad he proved his point. Program needs more money for players.

Michael Earley wouldn't be on my top 1000 coaches to hire.

This is not a good year to judge coaching performance on. SEC is weak this year.

This would put the cherry on top as far as making LSU coaches the ultimate collection of villains. I could get behind it, but I prefer to have CJJ. I trust that he will make it work and 2027 we will be having discussions about being a top 8 seed.

How stupid a take is this?

We lost all those games because the players aren't getting paid enough.

Any firing and hiring desicions will come from Rousse and Mallet, then they'll let VA publicly announce it.

Agree, and maybe even higher if Landry starts getting as pissed about JJs performance as us.

Please explain revenue sharing so we can all understand.

Are you really that dense? If we had more money, we could pay for better players (i.e. Landon Mack).

If we had better players, we could win more games.

If anything, the teams performance this year vindicated Jay's comments, not contradicted them.

The LSU baseball team was sharing a $900k revenue share split with tennis, track and field, softball and gymnastics, while football got 75%, MBB got 15%, and WBB got their own 5%. That was unacceptable.

Moving forward, baseball will get its own 5% split of $900k.

So the reason we suck this year according to that poster is a few hundred $k from splitting 5% of 20.5mil with other programs, compared to getting a full 4-5% of 20.5mil?

Btw, I really wanted him to explain it. People that toss around revenue sharing generally have zero fricking clue as to any of it.

Many on here wanted Wes fired as pitching coach when at LSU as well. Not sure that would be a good idea since he can’t go 56-0 either.
