Thursday, beat Mississippi State.

Friday, beat Tennessee.

Saturday, beat South Carolina-Auburn winner.

Sunday, beat Alabama-Kentucky winner.

Absolutely yes, can it happen, yes. But based on past performance it would be a huge shock. Every year there is a big tourney underdog story.

yeah, that ain't happening. I'd be happy with Moo State win, and a competitive game against Tenn who might be looking ahead.

There's a potential path there, MSU, Tenn, Auburn, Bama, where LSU's average margin in 5 games vs those teams was losing by 18 points.

So yes, that would be shocking.

Well, that and the fact that they are better than LSU.

Could it happen? Sure. But considering it took a tornado hitting the tournament site the last time a team with a .500 or worse record won the tournament, I would say it is pretty unlikely.

When has this team shown the type of consistency it would take to pull that off? At their best they could win each of those games individually, but they have not played at that level for more than a couple of games at a time. They had a real chance to end the season on a 7-game winning streak. Instead, they won two, lost to Miss St, won two, lost to Arkansas, beat Missouri in a model of inconsistency.
