Worst LSU Team in 15 Years goes 8-4/4-4

Think about that. And, beat #3 Ole Miss and a currently 2 loss Wisconsin team that will play for the Big Ten Championship. All without a QB and a defense that didn't come together until half way through the season.

The 2000, 2002, and 2008 teams were possibly as bad as this one - actually, this team might be better than 2008 and 2000. But, nevertheless, if this is the floor of LSU football over a 15 year time period in the toughest division in the nation, that is pretty incredible.

Continue justifying mediocrity with moral victories.

I agree but we have to get to the point where we expect to lose no more than 1 game per season consistently

I can't be happy with 8-4 when there's another team in our division that never loses less than two in a season.

We should be equal or superior to Alabama in every way, and in fact are, except in the coaching department.

Year had highs and lows, but for the most part played out exactly as most expected.

The future appears bright, but it is crucial to be back in legitimate SEC West contention in 2015.

I'm certainly not pleased with this season, but LOL at your unrealistic expectations...

LSU should have been competing for a national title this year? Even with Harris at QB?

Agreed...only surprise to me was losing to MsSt as far as preseason picks. And the way we lost to Auburn. BUt I expected QB play to be around 60% completion for the year...not less than 50%.

Never said that. There were two games that we should've won this year that we didn't due to poor coaching and poor play.

Sorry...over a 15 year period....even a 5 yr period...this is JUST DUMB.

You can't possibly expect this in today's college football landscape. Sorry.

Ok?

So you're more worried about perception than anything.

I think it's a given that LSU will get better in 2015...."how much better" is the big question....

LSU's got some really good things going for it I to next season, but it will be interesting to see if they can take a step forward In the passing game and overall balance in 2015, as that is really the only thing that is kind of "hamstringing" us at the moment.

-Defense is fine/good with potential to be great
-running game will always be a beast
-West probably lightens up relative to this year
-big question is how much better will Jennings/Harris get

So, 9-3 instead of 8-4?

2008 offense better than this year.
2008 defense was terrible.

That's difference in two teams.

Very possible. As I said, that's the question..."how much better"

Will will go 9-3 and all be groaning anout another meh year or will we back in legitimate contention for the West in late November?

We shall see...IMO it all hinges on the improvement or lack thereof at QB and in the passing game.

2015 is a crucial year for this program. We need to put ourselves back on the map.

When is the last time we won a BCS bowl game? Incredible is not a good word for going to the Peach or Outback Bowl every year.
