Worst I’ve seen in my lifetime…

People shite on Smoke Laval a lot but his worst year he had a record of 35-24. This team isn’t gonna see 35 wins this year. I’m 43 and this is about as bad a baseball team I’ve seen at LSU. Other than Holman and Herring the pitching staff isn’t going to compete well in SEC play. The only SEC series I see LSU having a chance to win is Missouri and Ole Miss. This team isn’t going to make a regional.

My brother had a scholarship to LSU for baseball back in the late seventies. I would go watch and if they had 500 people there they were lucky. I have seen some very bad baseball at LSU

When was the last time we started 3-9 in conference play? Mainieri was ceremoniously pushed out in 2021 after going 13-17 in conference.
If Johnson doesn't turn this thing around quick he's headed for the worst conference record in modern LSU baseball history.
