Worst defense in LSU history + Daniels = 10 wins

If we somehow keep House and/or still have the same level of defense next year whats the equation look like?
Worst defense in LSU history + ??? = ???
Is Brian Kelly still coach today if we didn't have Daniels pulling 8 wins out of his arse?

Does he not get some credit for bringing Daniels along?

These scenarios where people cherry-pick what remains static and what variable changes are pretty dumb. Not to mention not giving credit to the staff for Daniels.

Yea he would not have gotten fired after two years

We would have won 3-4 games without daniels. Think about that. They better get their asses in gear this off season.

Says a lot about a staff to see value in a player where others didn’t and developing a plan to get that player to believe in himself and commit to, resulting in a Heisman trophy year.

If Daniels went down in game 1 of this season, we’d be 2-10 or 3-9 with the defense we have
We literally had the worst defense in school history this year. That's not a small thing to just gloss over.

Did Orgeron get credit for bringing Burrow along?

3-4 games? Really?
Easily.
Did you not watch a single game? Most of our games pretty much came down to which team had the ball last in order to score while LSU had one of the best one man offenses in CFB history
Remove Daniels and we score half what we scored this season while the other teams rip our defense apart.
Again. Literally the worst in history.

If Brian Kelly doesn't recruit Daniels here and then develop him, where are we?
If O doesn't get Burrow here, what happens?
You have to give credit to the Coach for the great things they do.

I think only two games were decided by one score or less. We won one of those and lost the other one.

Can all of you House bashers tell me which DC is going to give them an elite defense with Andre Sam, Major burns, Welch, toviano, stamps etc Transfers and freshman and have them playing at an elite level in the best conference. Not to mention a subpar dline that can’t pressure the qb with a 4-man rush.

If House is the DC next season LSU is, at least, a 5 loss team.
That said, I just don't see a way that Kelly keeps him. He may not say as much publicly, but Kelly just finished a season with the best QB he's ever had in his entire coaching career, and may EVER have, be essentially wasted because of House's defense. He's not just going to say "oh well. Let's try again next season".
Case in point, the single worst aspect of LSU's team last season was the special teams. Kelly didn't immediately fire Polian after the season ended. In fact, you really didn't hear much for weeks after the season was over...until Polian accepted an AD position at a Division III school. Was that opportunity just too good to pass up? Of course not. He was given the courtesy of finding a new job because he wasn't going to be brought back to LSU. And remember, Polian was the one coach who came with Kelly from ND.
I believe Kelly when he says this is his last stop and that he came here to win a championship. His DC cost him a CHANCE to do so this season. One that probably won't be there next season with significant losses on the offensive side of the ball. He's not going to waste his remaining 5-7 years of coaching (BK is 62) hoping House can suddenly figure things out. LSU will have a new DC...even if it is not as soon as fans may want it to be

Yes. Under what scenario would he not be?

Meh not really. We blew out State, Auburn, Florida and 3/4 OOC teams we played. That’s 6 wins. I also think we’d beat Arkansas and A&M w/o Daniels. Most of the games that went down to the wire we lost.

None. But most ranters are impulsive about changes and they have tunnel vision on the cause.

What a stupid fricking post. Remove the best player from any team in the country and it would cost them.
Kelly recognized we needed a QB and got one. If he wouldn't have gotten Daniels, perhaps he gets someone else.
If he didn't get someone else, then Nuss has the whole spring and offseason getting 1st-team reps and is likely a further along player.
You can't cherry pick which variables you are going to change, and then leave all of the other things static. That's not how life works.

Did Orgeron get credit for bringing Burrow along?
Remember, O had Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, Helaire, and most or all of the O line in 2018, and our offense was pedestrian under Ensminger.
Only when Brady came was the offense unleashed.
Now yes, O gets credit for bringing in both Burrow and Brady, but we wasted a ton of offensive talent in 2018.
