Wade has been focusing on tempo, shooting, and aggressiveness.

I heard we have snipers on the team this year and Wade has these boys ready to press their arse of this year.

That is gonna be needed because this team is more devoid of size in the frontcourt than the team last year. Last years team had two 6'10+ bigs starting and could win games with offensive rebounding and points in the paint. This team is gonna have to rely much more on shooting and fast break play.

I’m afraid the loss of Bigby-Williams is going to manifest itself in close games. Gotta have rebounds and a rim protector. Not sure we havre that with him gone. Hope I’m wrong.

He's still the coach at LSU? I could have sworn that some people were certain that he wouldn't coach in 2019.

They are going to have to play a different style simply because they don't have the size inside they had last year. It will probably be something closer to last year's Auburn's style of play, than last year's LSU (though I don't expect as may three point attempts as AU). The bad news is that Waters, KBW and Reid are big losses. The good news is that LSU will likely have a 10 man (maybe more) rotation as opposed to the 8 man rotation last year.

I trust there are enough scorers on this team to avg. at least 75 ppg. The big question is can they defend? And I'm not talking about feast or famine with creating turnovers while also giving up a ton of good looks to the opponent. I want to see a defense that forces tough shots...even if that means less turnovers created.

The PG rotation this year will be noticeably better than last year ALL AROUND. Tremont is a significant loss, but an older Smart,May's,and Bishop will result in a net gain. Smart will be significantly better than last year.

We'll be bigger at the guard position but smaller at the post. Loved Tremont but between his flashes of brilliance were some knucklehead plays. Naz was trying to play a 'pro style' game and I can't count how many times I yelled for him not to dribble (and for good reason). Bigby-Williams is a big loss. I hear the athleticism of some of the new talent is off of the charts. I hear the shooting is improved and the move to the international 3 point line will open things up (less picks and more motion). With discipline and coaching we can be effective. Looking forward to see what Wade does this year. Geaux Tigers!

I agree with you that they are definitely much deeper this year and can play deeper; however, I’m not sure they will. If Wade’s comments are to be believed, he has said in recent interviews that he likes an 8 man rotation and that is likely what they will use this year except for when in early foul trouble.

And again, for those of you concerned about the height, I encourage you to take a look at Auburn’s final 4 roster and Villanova’s national championship roster from 2 years ago. LSU’s roster, as far as height, is almost identical to both, especially Villanova’s. So while it will dictate a different style of playing, it’s not as big of an issue as most fear. And offensive rebounding will be fine. You don’t have to have height to successfully rebound on offense. It’s more important for defensive rebounding.

Me neither, because that means we’ll be gearing up for our first playoff game.

Last year's team was not great with offensive rebounding for the most part.
