The Patriots hired Jerod Mayo and are about to write the next chapter in their legendary history of the NFL. The Patriots are always ahead of the curve and direction of the NFL.

Jayden Daniels will be the next Tom Brady. He will be the shining star in the league.

Imagine Lamar Jackson and Jayden Daniels dueling it out in an AFC Championship Game. The Patriots and the NFL have that vision.

The new Peyton Manning and Tom Brady rivalry is just waiting to emerge for an entirely new generation of NFL fans.

Why does Mayo being hired mean that the Pats draft target JD5? You never explained that

He may not be there at 3. Watch who the commanders hire.

I don’t believe Bill Belichick would have been interested in Jayden Daniels. I did say the Patriots are visionary and ahead of the curve. Belichick is old school and had to leave to enact a new direction and path.

Belichek loves LSU players, and has a long history of drafting them. I would have actually expected him to draft JD5 more so than any other coach. Kevin Faulk, Stevan Ridley, Rohan, Jarvis Green, Danny Etling, Godchaux, Marquise Hill, and the list goes on and on.

So as far as the OP's assertion that Mayo would be more likely to draft Daniels than Belichek, I think the evidence shows that the exact opposite is actually true.

Jayden cannot be the next Brady. The special thing about Brady, he was drafted in the 6th round and was unassuming. Love the confidence you have in him.

He's going to become a whiny cheater complaining to the refs after every play?

Jerod Mayo? The guy who’s only been coaching since 2019 and only as a position coach?

“Because Belichick is an old crusty white guy and Mayo is young, hip, and black.”

That’s how I read it.

This is a ridiculous assertion. Could you please explain how the Patriots are so "visionary" and "ahead of the curve" without including Belichick?

The guy is just talking in circles. His statement argues with itself. There is no way he’s explaining anything coherently.

Why wouldn't the Bears or the Commanders take Daniels?

Maybe Mayo wants the Michigan or North Carolina kid !!!
