I dont want to defend Chavis but Kwon was a starter for most of his time on the team.

That was 6 games into the season, even if Chavis wanted his guys. Miles was the HC, so he either didn't know what he was looking at or he just didn't want to play a SO in front of a FR.

Welter was a student of the game, first in the gym and last to leave brought his lunch pail to work kinda guy
So you are saying he is white?

I seem to remember some articles/statements by Chavis around that time where he said something to the effect of “there may be more talented backers out there, but DJ is a coach on the field” lol

I love to celebrate our players accolades in the NFL. But I don't think it was necessary to criticize Welter to do so.
And please, don't be a snowflake. It's perfectly fine to offer legitimate criticism of an LSU player. These players voluntarily signed with an elite football school, knowing full well the pressures and expectations.
And just because we criticize a player's ability doesn't mean we don't appreciate all their blood, sweat, and tears.

The Yeldon screen is the worst play involving LSU in LSU history, but isn't the worst play in LSU history.
Wrap your head around that.

Kwon and Jones both play MLB in the NFL. Just because they didn't play MLB at LSU doesn't mean they shouldn't or couldn't have. It's clear they're capable given they're pro bowlers at the position in the NFL.

Shh! This doesn’t fit with their fairy tale

Remember when LSU had a really good offense but Chavis’defense couldn’t stop anyone that year??? Damn shame.

The single dummest urban myth on the Rant and 99% of the posters actually believe it. Man I love Rant comedy.

Lol that was 1 year, every other year his defenses were all we had but yea let’s pick out that 1 season ignore all the rest and build our narrative on that logic lol. Pure gold. You guys could always pull up the stats and use facts but that’s not the way the Rant works.

Because Chavis started Welter? What a weird qualification for head coaches in your view.

We blitzed Bama (which I like far better than softly sitting back) and they just happened to a screen called, which was ideal for them against the blitz.
So I actually give some credit to Chavis on this one (not many of his other late game lapses) for bringing pressure. We just got unlucky with Bama's play call.
