Downvote away if you must, but he has nothing else to accomplish at Bama if he wins another natty this year.
Other than cementing his legacy even further.
quote:
His wife has been on record saying how much she misses South Louisiana, especially due to their strong catholic faith and ties to the New Orleans Archdiocese.
Where? When? Give me the quote. I'm not totally sure but I believe that whoever the bishop was in New Orleans when they were here has changed. And why the bishop in New Orleans and not the one in Baton Rouge? And just to let you know, there are Catholics in Alabama.

The gumps have become unappreciative and entitled.
As opposed to the unappreciative and entitled LSU fans?
quote:
We know he regrets leaving LSU the way he did.
How do "we" know this?
quote:
He laid the foundation for something great when he was at LSU and his successors have eroded that.
How does this relate to his return to LSU? How would this mystical return overturn the past?
quote:
Task masters like Nick Saban need to be constantly challenged.
How is he not challenged now?
quote:
He would have gone to Texas for the challenge of it a few years back but for the boosters constant meddling of the program there
Are you saying that there is no outside interference from boosters and politicians in Louisiana?
quote:
We want -- no, expect -- Scott to go out and get us the best coach possible to right the ship here. There is no one greater than Nick Saban.
Maybe Scott could repeat the aTm fiasco here?
quote:
Woodward and Jimmy Sexton have a great relationship.
After all of the money Scott made for Jimbo and Sexton, I'd expect that Sexton would dearly love Scott for sure. I'm not totally sure how the love flows in the other direction though.

Would be extremely difficult for hundreds of reasons, but there is 0 downside whatsoever in asking. The message would be, as you say, finish what you started and close the loop on your career. You've changed Alabama (the University and the State) for the better and you can finish it at LSU as well.
That nostalgic message is the only angle. There is no shame in approaching Sexton/Saban on the topic.

You can’t not call the best in the business. He has to call and make an offer, make him say no. He’s never going to come back but Woody wouldn’t be doing his job if he doesn’t at least try.

This is not far fetched. One of his best friends lives 45 min west of BR

Sir, this the Tiger Rant. Not the OT

This thread is easily just as embarrassing as anything going on with lsu football.

I'd welcome him with open arms.

Does it ever end? How long did it take you to type this nonsense?

Does he not have any friends in Tuscaloosa or Birmingham? How many Mercedes dealerships does he own in Louisiana?

I am not kidding when I say we have have a better chance to hire back Saban than Joe Brady.

If he doesn't come then Bama will match offer and it may hurt their wallet just a teeny tiny bit
You may be on to something here now. Make Bama pay ransom just to screw with them like Michigan and Arkansas did to us.

That would be something to tell stories about to your grandchildren. How we stole Saint Nick back from Bama!

I've totally thought the same thing. As much as I hate Little Nicky, I would give him hugs to come back to LSU. And what a spin and great story it would be.
AND the bumps would just melt melt melt...

Might as well go after Bill Belichik and Mike Tomlin. Because why not?

That’s not how it works. Woodward discusses it with Sexton and Sexton comes back with his 30 million per year offer and negotiating starts from there
Fixed it.

Woodward will for sure make him and many others “say no.” Guaranteed

Wouldn't that mean he goes back to Michigan State?
