Wishful thinking: Nick Saban should ride out to the end finishing what he started in BR

Downvote away if you must, but he has nothing else to accomplish at Bama if he wins another natty this year.

He's already broken Bear Bryant's record.

His wife has been on record saying how much she misses South Louisiana, especially due to their strong catholic faith and ties to the New Orleans Archdiocese.

The gumps have become unappreciative and entitled.

We know he regrets leaving LSU the way he did.

He laid the foundation for something great when he was at LSU and his successors have eroded that.

Task masters like Nick Saban need to be constantly challenged.

He would have gone to Texas for the challenge of it a few years back but for the boosters constant meddling of the program there

We want -- no, expect -- Scott to go out and get us the best coach possible to right the ship here. There is no one greater than Nick Saban.

Woodward and Jimmy Sexton have a great relationship.

All I am saying is don't write it off immediately.

I can dream can't I...

Can you guarantee that Saban can bring along a few Bama refs in this fantasy.

And can O be allowed to finish out his career at Bama.

Reason I say he won’t is because he wants to easily remain on top. I don’t mean as a coach because he always will be but just winning and winning championships. He can continue to do that at Bama. It would be a real challenge for a while at LSU.

If I was Woodward I would be embarrassed to make the call, but you have to at least make it to gauge interest.

The answer will definitely be no, but you have to at least make the phone call.

That’s not how it works. Woodward discusses it with Sexton and Sexton either already knows the answer or has a talk with Saban about it.

Woodward has no reason to be embarrassed about it because it’s his job. Sexton is a professional and has seen the good, bad and ugly of coaching searches for years. As a matter of fact, he would expect the call and be disappointed if Woodward didn’t call.

I feel like this has already been done through back channels and Jimmy Sexton. Saban would probably field the call though.

Straight up $15 million a year for 10 years.

Unlimited access to the lazy river at the UREC

If he doesn't come then Bama will match offer and it may hurt their wallet just a teeny tiny bit

Delusions.
Saban will never come back to LSU.
He has built a dynasty and will continue to cement his legacy at Bama.

One of the most pathetic OPs I have ever read.

I can see you’ve been here since 07 but I’ve never read one of your posts.

You sound like such a loser

He's a God at Bama. Think he wants to hear from shitehead radio callers joking about his private life? He's moved on from LSU and its fanbase. His time in La is history. Fans here got tired of the NFL flirtation and wanted him gone. He hasnt forgotten that.

Fantasy world delusion but that’s what great stories are made from. Love the dream. Fun thoughts like this is the only way to power through these rough times.
