I'm sure running straight at the Hulk is a great idea.

Yea, but we had a new QB making his first start vs. a team that had a month to prepare.
While true, Wisky has a ton of time to prepare for this game as well.

This is going to be a very difficult game for us to win. If we win this game we can beat anyone on our schedule.

Whoaa, I don't know about that. Don't get me wrong, I think we can beat every team on our schedule this year, but I don't think this game will be indicative of anything. shite happens, especially late in the season.

Decent post.
Oh please. It takes more than a year for a college team to move from a 4-3 to a 3-4. Hell, pro teams can take up to two years.
As far as seeing "the real stuff" as you call it, LSU has seen plenty of 3-4 defenses. Not worried. In fact, I am much happier to catch y'all during the transition. Please blitz out of a 3-4. Please please please.
If LSU has 8 in the box and you pass, I am ok with that. One defender will drop back and the rest blitz. Run blocking is one thing, pass blocking is another. Since Hunter is a reported rush-DE, I like him in that match up. Your QB better throw to the right spot.
We are not Tenn Tech, Mass or Northwestern.
It will be a close game for a bit. I don't think the Badgers are great on defense. That plays into our offense this year. We will look more like Wisconsin at times and POOF to the speed spread.
If LSU gets a decent lead and forces Wisconsin out of its ground game, it is over. If Wisconsin gets a lead, I think LSU has the coaches and players to make up the difference before time runs out.

Moreover, this is going to be a completely new look for the Badgers. We ran pretty much the same 4-3 base D for the last 20 years. Last year we got Dave Aranda as our D-coordinator and with him, a blitz heavy, rotating 3-4. The only problem was that, last year, we didn't have the personnel to run it effectively so we basically stayed in a much heavier and basic front to properly utilize our talent. This year we have the pieces in place to let em loose and start running our real stuff. LSU isn't going to be the only team with speed to burn on the edges.

Anyone at the college level can beat one on one coverage if the QB is given enough time to find him. Our run game forces teams to play 8 in the box at all times, so whoever it is playing out wide for us the will only have to beat one guy. Even given LSU's stellar CBs we will be able to beat them a few times a game, which is all we need if Stave has a decent game.

Same shite different year. Then after we whoop their asses, all the people crowing right now will claim Wisky is having a down year and Ole Miss, State and Bama will all beat us.
Fixed, or not fixed....

UW's two tackles faced off against Clowney in the last game they played. Want to know how many rushing yards they posted in that game?
WTF does Clowney's injured arse have to do with us? It's not like Clowney and them were known for stopping the run. Did you freaking forget that we played USCe in 2012 (when they were better and Clowney was healthy) with a true sophomore LG with only a couple of starts, a true freshman RT getting his third start, and a redshirt freshman RG getting his first start? Hill as a true freshman getting his first significant carries, ran for 124 yards and 2 TDs on only 17 carries.
Yes, we know a thing or two about running over USCe's DL, because we already have.

I AM APPALLED!!! JUST WHO IN THE HELL DO THESE GUYS THINK THEY ARE??? HOW DARE THEY!!!
THEY ARE GOING TO PAY WITH THEIR LIVES!!!

LSU lost two DT's who only accounted for 75 tackles combined. The better years for LSU's defense usually saw 50 tackles each for the starting DTs.

Both of those teams ran the ball effectively against LSU last year. Alabama posted nearly 200. Auburn posted more than 200.
Who cares if they run well on us? I personally think they run for 200+ yards, because that's about all they'll be able to do. They are going to run about 50 times like we will. Thing is, our defense is a whole lot better and more equipped game one, than there's. We also do this every year while they play some pansy arse team like UMASS. They have been softened up yearly playing marshmallow opponents game one, and now they have to deal with us? No buddy. I'm very confident of our win.

Didn't the Saints go from a 4-3 in 2012 (one of the worst defenses in the history of the NFL) to a 3-4 in 2013 (ranked 4th overall in the league)?

Wisconsin, uncharacteristically, threw the ball a whole bunch against Ohio State and had a lot of success.
They did well because OSU had one of the worst pass defensive schemes in all of CFB last year.
371 to Cal
295 to Wiscy
343 to NW
245 to Iowa
237 to Penn State
288 to Illinois
320 to Indiana
451 to Michigan
304 to Michigan State
378 to Clemson
Those last 5 games ended the season, and they gave up no less than 2 passing TDs in each.

How many yards did Jennings throw for against Iowa? Let's not act like LSU is trotting out Zach Mettenberger.
Wow! a true freshman in his first start against a top 10 defense in rainy conditions looked bad. Who would have thunk it?

From the look of the big cat drill this won't be a problem. Maybe hawkins can play dline for us in this game.

So your argument is that we get better by losing two starters? That is very illogical.
I agree, if you spin every comment into something other than what was actually said, then that would make the statement illogical. What do you not understand about the fact that we played Ego and AJ more than normal despite their horrible production. Which was well below LSU standards for the last decade.
