I guarantee that they faced a better SEC defensive line the last game they played.
Too bad LB & DB aren't part of run defense.
First of all, I didn't say anything about the DL only and secondly, no way you can say that the DL as a whole will be any worse than last year's USCe DL. Maybe they will be in retrospect but we won't know that until after the game will we?

Because South Carolina's defensive line was pretty badass, and we don't currently have the kind of talent they did last year. Sad, but true.

You expected they would pick their opening opponent?

Penn State has not been good since the Michael Robinson days and you guys lost to them...
PSU also had an NFL Head Coach and an NFL QB. And we played our absolute worst game of the year. If thats the squad that shows up it will be 48-17. But I wouldn't count on it if I were a betting man. I think something like 31-24 is much more likely. I can see either team coming out on top. Its too early in camp to get a decent read yet, but that is how pretty much every non-Bucky blowout Badger game has gone in the last 5 years.

your team is going to get beat unmercifully. the sooner you accept this the shorter your postgame depression will last. Les Miles does not lose season openers....he will make an example of you.

We are playing a very good football team that wins a ton of games each year. They beat the same Iowa team that we struggled with by 3 touchdowns at Iowa late in the season.
Yea, but we had a new QB making his first start vs. a team that had a month to prepare. Different situation between a bowl game and a regular season game.

IMO it's going to be a 3 yards and a cloud of dust type of game. I have always liked the Wisky program I know this will be a battle. Here's to a great game
I will be there cheering my tigers on.

I hope he can turn all those muscles and veins into more sacks this year.

I'm just happy that these kinds of games are going to be the norm from here on out. So much more enjoyable than trying to find film on Austin Peay. Heres to a great injury-free game. On Wisconsin!

Careful though. In two years you guys have to come to us. Lambeau has a tendency to leave out of state teams a bit…

will the NRG stadium roof be open or closed?
if it's open, that helps LSU as the players are already acclimated to the humidty and heat and the UW players won't be.
if it's closed, I don't expect either team to have an advantage in a dome.

I don't think we need to worry about freezing to death at Lambeau in late August.

I've always considered Wisconsin to be the White LSU of the North. What I mean by that is you guys run a very similar game plan to LSU most years. And y'all are really white. All gratuitous southern racism aside though, I think it'll be a good close game. I think the QB play will be abysmal from both teams, with the edge going to LSU due to their WRs. I think both offensive lines will be great, as will the RBs. Where I gives Lsu an edge is defense. They have the next Brian Urlacher centering the defense, and other than at DT, there's a host of other returning starters all trying to keep some of the nation's best recruits off the field just behind them on the depth chart. I don't think it'll be a blowout, because neither team is capable honestly. But to think the Badgers will win this game is to deny what you yourself already know. Lsu's coaches (excepting OLine coaches IMO) are better, and position by position, each of their players are better. And by those painful facts alone, Lsu's score will be better. I think LSU runs away with this one 22-16 in a battle of field goals.
