OK, not exactly I guess, it's more like "every successful program does it" disregarding not every other head coach leaves as obvious a set of breadcrumbs back to the head coach.

Just catching up on today, but this is correct and is one of the worst types of topics.

Starting a topic asking for an answer when you already have your answer in your head in an attempt to make a point. Never mind that the point and answer already formulated are completely without context or truth. Completely dumb. OP should be embarrassed.

Stfu! Wade inherited a losing program at the bottom of the conference, and turned it around in a year. He established a culture around mens bball and brought energy and life back to the program. This is fact. Wade is a winner and he will succeed somewhere else in the near future. The guy has passion and fire.

But now LSU must move on and find another guy with those traits. WW is gone and its over. But it is ignorant to undermine what he accomplished in a short time here

No, they have not, and no one expects them to since they fired Wade. Many will make the argument they would not have if we had kept Wade.

No but LSU isn't a blue blood.

Auburn isn’t a blue blood but they closed ranks and did what they needed to for the program to be sustained. Could be LSU is just cheap.

Being a blue blood is not our call and understanding consequences is smart.

And it sucks, though.

I know. I made that post as a jest. Got a bit of Mardi Gras in me, for full disclosure.

I will say, unless we have some backbone, we're never going to reach that height as a program. LSU football, although historically important, didn't get our shite together until Saban.

I am excited to see a team build. Something that takes more than a few months.

I know you and I don't agree, but I laugh it off at times, hope you do too.

Can you explain to me (outside of WW stuff) how you see Coach Mc building this. In your words - point me to a post if you already made it.

And for the drive-by readers, I was never against Coach Mc. Besides some give him 3-4 years and see what happens, I'll listen.

I'll admit I was suspicious.

We need a Saban-type, meticulous, and able to get the athletic department to move off of top dead center in terms of facilities upgrades.

Wade also won an SEC Championship. He got to hang a banner, winning a conference title. In five years the guy won 2/3 of the games he coached, and his program in 5 seasons made the tournament 3 times and would have been 4 if not for Covid.
