He’s had enough time to get in shape. If he’s not, that’s pathetic.

Had a set back with an ankle injury, but hes staying on top of not gaining weight. He won't be an every down guy this year no doubt, but he will play a lot.

Saw him working out in January. He looked pretty good. He had a belly but it wasn't out of control

He is natuarally huge. Legs, arms, chest, butt. All gigantic. If he didn't have an ounce of fat on him he would be 320 llbs

And it’s not like he has to play 70 snaps a game. We have some depth on the line now.

Could probably use him at RB since we are thin there and need some help for goal line situations

He’s lost 40 pounds four different times according to Coach Orgeron.

Agreed he’s in his second year here and redshirted last year.

He should be in shape by now. He was dominant in high school when he was around 315-320

Even huge, he showed flashes of insane agility in the spring game. He’ll play and play well.

OF course he will play, what a stupid question.

Based upon what we are hearing from the program or from spring makes this a stupid question?

There is something stupid here and it is you not the question.

lol, true.

I expected him to lose, and then creep back up (S&C, muscle mass and SOME bad weight).

Who knows if what O said is accurate, but I hope he isn't yo-yo'g like that. Of course ankle injury could definitely explain one round of gain/loss/gain.

350 isn't a bad number to creep back up for him if he's been putting on muscle. I would think "ideal" for him & his position is somewhere around 340.

He's got the twitch and quickness. So like many said prior, it's all about stamina for him (barring him ballooning to 360).

We need a very good deep rotating DL. Our DBs, no matter how well coming along, need the help. And it has to be all game, no pressure and they will get tested often. OCs will be waiting on it.

Kinda went full retard for a moment there, didn't ya?

Valentine was a thug and a locker room cancer, so the poster you're responding to was right, even if he went a little overboard in his response.

LINK /

Here is a link to the sizes of the top defensive tackle players in this past draft

Of the top 25 NFL prospects, only two of them were north of 320 lb. One of those included a first-round pick that is 340 lb, but is 6 ft 5 in tall.

So many people in here being okay with a player that is 6 ft 3 in tall and north of 350 lb seem to have no worries about his future NFL stock.

To be most effective, he needs to get down to at least 330 lb

We also need to be a bit more honest in that a college listing of 6 ft 3 in tall is probably closer to 6 foot 2 inches tall, or even a little shorter

His weight and conditioning is a very legit concern. Especially considering Ed Alexander has been too fat and out of shape himself to take snaps from Greg Gilmore for 2 years.
