Will the media change their attitude towards BK when ND gets beat by OSU?

In case you haven’t seen this weeks upcoming matchups… ND takes on Ohio State in a big opening weekend matchup.
ND is a big underdog going into it. See the odds below.

I can’t help but feel the national media is silently hoping ND beats OSU so they can say BK left and he is what was holding back that program. But my money is on OSU throttling ND.

Do you think ESPN and others will change their tune about BK and possibly stop making fun of him for no reason if ND gets stomped in their first game without him?

The fact that ND is a 17.5 underdog tells me they have no business being ranked in the top 5. No top 5 team should ever be that big of a dog.

No, most expect ND to get stomped.

I the narrative will definitely be all Brian Kelly’s fault for not being a good recruiter and in no way shape or form will if be Marcus Freeman’s fault.

ND is perpetually one of the most overrated teams in the country. It’s nauseating how the sports media slurps them.
Ohio State drops 45 on them, easily.

Everyone feels that way yet ND is ranked in the top 5. Like why?

^^^This! This is the exact reason why LSU not being in the preseason top 25 doesn’t bother me. Those rankings are to setup storylines to begin the season. Nothing more.

I would think most media believes OSU will win.

Ohio State is supposed to beat them. Though Kelly left the most talented roster they have had as far as having guys who will be drafted high next year, so that 17+ line seems gigantic.

I personally think it has more to do with propping up Ohio State and their schedule so they can say look Ohio State demolished a top 5 team, blah blah...

I'm still shocked how the committee dropped LSU to #2 behind Ohio State in 2019 yet LSU had much more impressive resume and opponents they beat. Ohio States opponents were propped up as much as they could to give Ohio State some credibility. If it wasn't for the pure domination of #4 Georgia, LSU would still be #2.

THIS, it won't be close.

And CBK will be walking out of the Dome to chants of LSU-LSU-LSU after a W Sunday night.

I think they'll try to blame the loss on Kelly for bailing on them and try to make ND and Freeman look like the poor orphans.

Honestly, in week one, I am not sure who wouldn't be 10+ underdogs to Bama or OSU other than UGA

Notre Dame will lose by 7-10 points and the
media will say how good Notre Dame looked and they played closer than expected, therefore Marcus Freeman will be the best coach in Notre Dame history.
