The only person who can make TAMU a threat is someone who is an Aggie and can control the Aggie boosters.

Sumlin was/is a good coach and brought in some top notch recruiting classes and he went mediocre.

I think so but I don’t think O is some incompetent coaxh that can’t beat Jimbo. Ya he’s a better offensive mind and qb coach but O is among the best at Dline and Olber coaching which is also crucial. If he find the right OC whether it’s Canada or someone else he will recruit just as well and compete for west titles

Uhh...are you serious?

Nothing good (for LSU) will come from this.

Aggie pays $75 million for third or fourth place in the SEC West
That's 75 mil GUARANTEED over 10 years. There are less than a dozen coaches in CFB tenured over 10 years. A&M will be on the hook for the remainder of his contract when he burns out and things go south.

A big threat, a second Alabama. I fully expect them to dominate the Tigers until such time LSU gets a real, top rank head coach.

I really hope this is sarcasm. You honestly cannot be that stupid.

I think Sumlin would have done better with FSU's team this year than what Jimbo could barely muster.

I don't think Jimbo is a Saban or will turn A&M into something like Bama but with a competent defensive coordinator they could surprise people and make a lot of noise.

I know we can all agree he shite the bed this season but in terms of overall body of work he has done well overall his entire career.

I don't think Jimbo is a savior for A&M but its completely absurd to rule out any possibility of them bein a threat. If anything that comes from this, Jimbo's recruiting could hurt many SEC teams and other schools in Texas.

I don't know if a lot of these posts are false bravado or idiocy.

Of course we need to be worried about another coach in an increasingly stacked division that's proven he can manage a program. I'm not saying TAMU's locked in to second or third in the West but there's only so many wins to go around and this guy can take one. You're an idiot if you don't think he can.

Saban will take one. Gus probably gets his back next year. Mullen probably gets another because he's just flat out better than what we have. That's 3 probable losses right there assuming that we don't need another Orgeron-patented motivation builder like Troy was this year.

In the near future?
Hell naaw. They done did it. Jimbo is the magic potion that will lead aTm to universal football dominance.
He has already ruined a sizeable segment of LSU "fans" lives and has driven them to crawling under their beds cowering in fear and posting nonsense threads on the Rant.

This is why I say it's not good. We already play malzahn and Saban every year. Mullen has beaten LSU twice and is going to be at a better program. And LSU just added another national title coach on their every year schedule.

This isn't good at all. But coach o can prove he's an elite coach by winning.

Les beat, Fulmer, Meyer, tressell, Saban, and you can add Tubberville all on the way to winning a title.

Good luck coach, the sec just got tougher.

Based on what? Bar room fights or restraining orders?

Certainly can't be based on college football performance.

When was the last time O recruited a star QB or a NC team of players.

I get he is ours, but shite people come on.
