Would you mind worrying for both of us? I don't have the time.

The first year Jimbo will look like a hero. Sumlin has a LOT OF TALENT in the squad and a good QB.

As much as I hate A&M and enjoy beating them every year, I don’t know why they haven’t been more successful than they are (other than the fact they are goofy as all get out). They have all the ingredients.

A threat to have the gayest male cheerleaders? Yep, guilty as charged.

Texas and OU will continue to take the best players from Texas.

It's not easy getting a recruit to buy into the glamorous, fast life of College Station and their male cheerleaders.

The biggest threat there isn't Jimbo, but A&M has shown their cards and their commitment to becoming a real contender. They are pulling out all the stops and spending money like crazy in an attempt to pass everyone up. They have renovated their stadium, facility upgrades, and now dropped major money on a big name coach. Aggies are serious.
If LSU doesn't step up and come off some money when it's time, we very well could trade places with them in the SEC. I think this hire for them likely shortened the leash on O. If/when the O project comes to an end, the AD damn well better not do a half assed job again and they better keep politics out of it.

Every team in the West can be a legit threat, except perhaps Ole Piss for the next few years. I suspect that TAMU will win the West within 5 years.

I think Jimbo will be fine but its a bit of an adjustment to transition from spread to more pro style on offense. They are filled with a lot of offensive weapons and a talented QB. It all comes down to how he handles the defense. Sumlins teams were never physical defensively or sound as a unit. A&M had a few studs on defense but never as a whole played well.

No. We will the next 6 in a row because we will have better coaches and players. Jimbo is washed up. Burned out young.

The best of his career could be behind him but how can people come to this conclusion with only one bad season ever as a head coach who was looking to bolt from FSU

Not if LSU keeps putting up W's against them which I suspect will happen for at least another 2 or 3 years.

LSU just needs to worry about LSU and finish this class strong and then sign our top 13 or so guys in LA next year and we should pull away from A&M from that point on. Fix the QB/WR issue, hopefully Canada can find a nice home here, and LSU wins something of importance BF he and Aranda leave if Aranda wants to leave.

Ehh. I'm still not convinced Jimbo is a top 5 coach.
