We won't be relying on 3 hitters to produce runs

By actually breaching players how to hit.
Helping them become situationally aware.
Understanding that you don't try hit and run with guys who have a high tendency to not make contact with the ball.
Getting players to lay off ball four on a 3-2 count.
You know. By actually coaching.

Hopefully not pull his starting pitcher after he's thrown 5 innings of shutdown ball and give it to a freshman because he had one good outing last week !!

Ok, so hitting, pitching, base running and coaching.
What else?
What else?

You must be this tall and weigh this much in order to ride this ride.

You mean you don't enjoy seeing the opposing starting pitcher with a pitch count of 45 entering the 5th inning?

Watching starters get into the 8th inning on us because we were “aggressive” bothered me more than anything else. But i became apathetic to it ovwr the last 5 years because i knew it wouldnt change

We will have three high energy coaches instead of the one we had this year.

You might be disappointed here. He's very even-keeled. Not a real firey guy. But not a nervous, neurotic Debbie Downer like CPM. Cool customer in a good way. Focused, controlled, verbal. Positive but critiquing. Reminds me of Van Horn
I should have clarified, what you stated is more what I meant. I don’t need an Orgeron type, but Paul’s mannerisms always made me uneasy. I watched a few videos of JJ and I agree with your assessment. Not too high or too low- and seemed like a great teacher

absolutely imperative. Throwing straight fast balls even up to 93 is just batting practice at this level.
Dunn developed nothing and our hitting coach was non existent. I think we will see major improvement with both new coaches...and I don't care who they are.
Not having PM in the dugout anymore making his crazy gut feeling moves, will be a major plus.

Anyone knows if the coach coached at 3rd base or did he have an assistant there?
