Will NIL create super teams?

With no real rules or guidelines I could see a Texas or Texas A&M going around the recruiting 25 signees limit using NIL. You see could Texas with their deep pockets going to 4 and 5 stars players even after their 25 limit is reached setting up NIL deals. Saying we have this deal with you set up. We will give you say 100 grand. While the schools 25 limit is reached, you will get your money if you walk on and the NIL will also cover tuition and any other costs that other wise would have been covered by a scholarship. In theory a school like Texas or Texas A&M with bottomless pockets could stack a team with 4 and 5 star players. Of course the issue of only 22 starting spots comes up. But these kids today careless about playing than they do about money and getting to the NFL to get paid again, while the pride of playing is there it is secondary for most of these star players.

The best players spend at most 3 years playing, which means they need significant time to play at least by year 2.
Based on the limited window of opportunity super teams aren't going to happen assuming the NFL is the goal. Only 11 guys on the field at a time.
The NIL deals aren't there once you're done unless you're a really unique player that's extremely memorable so the NFL money is going to eclipse even the very best NIL deals.

Bama is already a super team.

Yeah we might get to a point where one conference wins 13/17 of the last championships and one team wins 6/17

How they gonna get to NFL if they don't play?

You can only sign so many players and only play so many. Big time guys paid or not will move on if they aren’t in a starting roll. This will balance out. The top tier teams will get stronger IMO though. Relax.

Can't believe decimated LSU and Auburn both had a chance to put them away.

Bama is blessed and Saban is never retiring.

The NCAA needs a NIL Cap and a luxury tax system. They also need to enforce their scholarship limitations, now that Aggie and others are following the longtime Bama model of exceeding their 25

Combine.
Benchwarmers get drafted all the time because they ran their best 40 ever, jumped through the roof, or some bullshite like that.
Russell Gage is ATL's best receiver and he had trouble seeing the field at LSU.

How many times has the playoff been some combination of:
Alabama
Georgia
LSU
Oklahoma
Clemson
Ohio State
Notre Dame

My point is what will stop a school from signing 25. There are 5 more they want so they get them signed to a NIL that gives them cash and pays everything a scholarship would if they show up in the summer as a walkon. With NIL the need for scholarships to the very top players could disappear. You could get all your 5 stars to come in as walkons paid by a NIL then still sign 25 players.

If buying players was all it took, wouldn't those two schools already be super teams? We all know that the top players have been getting paid since forever so what was the deal for Texas and A&M? Were they getting outbid by bama and Clemson?

If there is a cap, the money will just go back to being funneled behind the curtain.

Texas would still go 6-6
.

I doubt they think that far ahead. All about the money.

It really goes back to my playing time point. Yea you can pay them but what true 4-5 star that knows they have a shot at the NFL is sitting more than a year. Not unless you’re paying more than a scholarship.
Why not just go get a scholarship at a school you can play day one. I’m sure some will but the real alphas want to play.
Very similar to the Texas OL being paid. You really think a top tier left tackle type player will go sit 1-3 years to sign in the same class as another top rated Tackle for 150k? Nah. They will get a top starting OL but it’s not like they will sign the very top 8-10 OL

This is seriously a terrible take on the motivation of a 5* players. Players want to play. Not walk on a loaded team to sit. Of they don't sit, the 5* player being benched will transfer. I mean really? Did you think this through?
