honestly., Ford is our 5th best back. That is saying a lot, because he has talent. But he is a stiff, straight line runner that has to have an open crease to be effective.

Hill is a better RB than he is. So is hilliard, Blue and Ware. Not trying to slight him, but that is the truth

SEC football isn't a video game. You see speed and think that's all that matters.

+1
Hilliard is a straight boss.. How many huge backs like him still have the speed to take it to the house on a break away run? He's a ridiculous athlete. LSU is so stacked at RB it's almost unfair

Yeah, it sure is nice to see this debate, as it is far better than the ones from last year.

Has anybody mentioned that T. J. Yeldon is the best thing ever?

No?

Well, some gump is about to do just that.

Hill looks just aight tonight vs a worn down Idaho D.

He was also running behind a second string OL and FB against a team that knew we were going to run every down.

The fact that he ran tonight might be an indication that Ware and/or Blue's injuries might keep them out for a while.

Do yall not realize why a running back doesn't red shirt? They are the least likely to stay past 3 years if they have nfl ability...their careers are too short. Damn...yall shut up about it.

Apparently not. I think he deserves a shot but it doesn't look like it is going to happen. Blue get hurt we win by a gazillion and Ford doesn't see the field. If it didn't happen last game I don't expect him to ever get any significant playing time now.

After you said this, Ford will probably be the next back to get 100 yards. I hope someone bumps this post when it does happen. I guess you didn't pay attention to how the backs were used last season.

I hope you are right but I disagree. I think ware will probably be featured at some point but I think Ford will be used less than Blue and Hilliard in ever singe game.

Also, Ford is more finesse while Miles prefers hard-nosed backs.

Also, also, there was no Jeremy Hill redshirt to burn. The guy will turn pro ASAP. He already sat out last year. You guys acting like we lost out on another year are forgetting that he has a say in this, too.

When he plays on Sunday, he will. Not until then.

This conversation is like having Peyton manning, Tom Brady, drew Bree's and Aaron Rodgers on the same team and arguing over who is better and who should get more snaps. Oh and then stafford gets his redshirt burned and now we have even more to argue about. Trust me this is a good problem to have.

I love Fords running style but his pass blocking isn't what it needs to be in comparison to the other RBs. Plus he isn't the prototypical Miles beast RB power driver. too many mouths to feed to make the rant happy. Plus with the plan being to ride the hot hand, expect less distribution in some games .

As for all you idiots who truly believe Jeremy Hill would stay at LSU for 5 years if he got a redshirt are asinine. That kid prolly won't stay 4 years much less 5. Get over the RS thing already.

Michael Ford is the best running back LSU has so therefore he will be backup or third string. See Jarret Lee.

That's what lsu does we use many backs and doesn't matter what you did in the past. If you get in the doghouse you have to work your way out, and why redshirt a running back when you always have 5 good ones at lsu

face it, WE DON'T KNOW HOW MILES AND COMPANY determines playing time. i would imagine the factors are running ability, blocking ability, recieving ability, attitude and keeping a clean nose. there could be a dozen different reasons that one running back is favored over another and we the fans would never know them.
