This thread is depressing as shite regarding the outlook of the LSU offense of 2019 and beyond. I have no faith under SE that we would take the leap necessary offensively to beat Bama and compete for a SEC title.

Oh please. 7 OT game full of gassed defenses.

How about not be in 100th in offense aside from a ridiculous OT game that resulted in a loss

Like the offense most of the season? Or most of the past several seasons.

Orgeron will be fired before there will be a new OC.

Good grief. Just stop. There is not going to be a new OC no matter how many times people start a thread about who they would like in the role

Actually seems like things do happen when LSU fans apply heat.

I don’t see why we shouldn’t be vocal about it. If you don’t like it then so be it, but we aren’t shutting up until we see LSU not field a 100th in offense type of team. Spare me the A&M OT skewing what this really is done.

2019 on offense

I’ve been this very guy before. I’ve been the positive guy stating how next year we return a better team.. veteran qb, senior qb, better run, better ol... to still look like a fool and let down.. by the exact same stagnant offense that can’t throw tds. So until that changes with better results I’m no longer expecting anything different.

I expect another season of similar shite. I expect LSU to do good enough to just get by.. but another non competitive game against Alabama and two losses outside of Alabama with 50% passing completion and 100th ranked O. And another wasted opportunity to take advantage of a very down SEC and overall college football..

Being dependent upon a solid offensive line is asking too much.. and I’m tired of this excuse. Someone always gets hurts or is ineligible one way or another.. everyone deals with this crap and overcomes it.

We are right back to where we were with the offense under Miles. Try to overpower inferior teams but incapable of scheming against more talented defenses.

I’ll be excited when/IF LSU actually hires a successful current college OC who can coach them up, make in game adjustments, and scheme. And just being a different offensive culture to LSU.

Not gonna hirenour fourth oc in four years

That’s such a bs excuse. Bama will be hiring their 4th OC in for years most likely.

We can keep what we have and continue to expect the same results then. I guess you haven’t had enough yet. You’ll get there. I was just like you in 2015-2016.. talking about how veteran and strong we were going to be.

Seen enough to know nothing is changing.

Houston hired Briles this year and they have what a top 3 offense in yards and top 3 offense in TDs

You can have crazy success with the right guy running things. Or you can expect more of the same with the same guy who has been here for quite some time.

What’s crazy to me is LSU didn’t even have a paid QB coach.

Alabama has the best qb in college football with the best team and at times I think two co OCs.. and yet they Still had a QB coach who actually is an OC but took a lesser job.. while we promote up and don’t even have that type of detail..

Bama will have the same coordinator next season they have this season unless Enos leaves. People can say what they want about Locksleys title but ask Bama fans who theyd rather have back? And thats with Locksley being a stud recruiter that Enos isnt.

You can bitch all you want but it isn’t going to change a damn thing

But I get it. Your pissed. You’ve got a ton of arguments and rationalizations about how right you are and how wrong Alleva and O are. Cool. Head on down to the TAF tomorrow and tell them you are backing out of your multi million dollar donation if we don’t hire some spread offense flavor of the day. Then the people who really make the decisions have to shite or get off the pot

If you are not in a position to do that, then all the bitching and moaning in the world isn’t going to accomplish a damn thing

Only thing to discuss is if Steve will get a 3 or 4 year extension.

Emzinger...is not the answer.

Didn't we almost get the OC from Kentucky last year? That could be a viable alternative if it can happen.

Have never seen a more miserable group of so called fans.

Yes our offense needs to change, but
FOR THIS YEAR, this attack is not warranted.
1st yr QB w an OLine that was so hurt it used 6 or more configurations and we are 9-3 and actually earned 10-2.

I have faith for next year as some of the things can be corrected.
If our O is not better, I will join you, but this level of criticism is not deserved for this year.

--------------------------
BTW, I have said it before (with NO EVIDENCE) that SE is here as a position-holder for a year or two for ???
..my guts tell me possibly Kiffin.

No, this is another one of the downfalls of hiring a moron as your head coach.

Coach O won't fire him, but I could see Steve stepping aside and playing a different role on the team. He was content being an assistant coach and didn't lobby for the promotion.

The problem is, this shite is said every season. A decent OC needs to be hired. Ensminger does not fit in to that category. He was terrible in his last two stints as OC, and nothing has changed since. Name one school in all of college football, who would offer Ensminger an OC job at this point, other than LSU. No QB or OL can succeed with the current scheme in place, and it doesn't look like it will change. Run, Run, 7 step drop/ play action does not work any more. Everything needs to come out quick in the passing game, until there is an opportunity to go over the top. This concept protects an offensive line and the QB. Every other successful school in America has figured this out, but Ensminger/Orgeron are too damn stupid to realize it.
