Jay won with his players and Cain has proven to eval and nab better high school players since
Bull shite.
Let’s get this straight a-hole
Jay brought in the number 1 recruiting class and those were Cains players?
YOURE A frickING DUMBASS
Let’s see what Cain left -
ZERO ZRRO ZERO LHP on the roster - NONE.
fricking shite turd players except Floyd, Morgan, Crews and Dugas
Who could have left BTW but did not.
Beloso was a shell of himself and was injured for 2 seasons then wanted to quit before Johnson RERECRUITED him to stay.
But here are Jays players
Skenes - don’t win without him
White - damn sure don’t win without him
Hurd - don’t win without him
Cooper - MVP of CWS and damn sure don’t win without him the first or second season - go check his stats down the stretch
Jobert - yep Jays
Guidry - yep Jays
Count the 27 players from 2023 and who contributed the most and without those listed that team is in the shitter.
PAWL - didn’t win with his players if you’re using that fricking logic and it is harder today with this flipping programs.
You’re just started a shite thread to bash Johnson and nothing else when you’re a fricking Aggie dickrider for Cain - who is a POS like his current HC.

the thing is this, the best class in recent history produced 1 pitcher and 3 position players.
and that is without a doubt a monster haul.
and Dylan and Tre were great as freshmen but Thompson and Floyd weren’t.

Dugas committed while Andy Cannizaro was the recruiting coordinator. Cain doesn't get credit for that.

People don't like a hard truth. But they need it at times.
You are the one blind to the truth.
It’s such a weak argument to just assume people are bias when you clearly have some sort of negative agenda of your own.
You have proven yourself to be wrong in multiple threads now.

As for Cain, you can’t deny he’s out recruited Jay since they both got new jobs. Further, Jay won with many of Cains recruits (Tre, Dylan, Beloso, Trav et al)
Jay won with terrible starting pitching he was left with in his first season. 17 sec wins without any notable pitching. It’s miraculous he pulled that off. Give him no credit though.
Jay won with his own players in addition to the roster he was left. He had no pitching and went out and got the pitching needed to win a championship. He also developed Skenes into a monster. He was a talent that became an even bigger monster under Jay.
LSU does not win a championship without the players he brought over.
But by all means give him no credit.
You are a jackass and it isn’t about being a homer to say so.
quote:
I’ve seen very little in the way of development since Jays arrived in BR. That’s just reality
Yet he will continue to have guys drafted into the league. Most players have improved under Jay. Can’t help if some younger players aren’t willing to stick around for development.
LSU just won a championship last year. Literally last year. They were two outs from hosting a favorable Super in a down season with 1 returning positional starter. And you are here bitching about a winning coach whose team didn’t give up. Think about that. Think about what kind of a jackass you truly are being here.
Seriously give me my stern warning mods, because screw this trash poster.

Someone better tell the staff at D1Baseball to check with burrrrrrreauxxxxxxxxxxxx before making these picks. Don’t they know LSU won’t have any stars next season?

Right? Zero credit for Floyd turning into a 1st rounder.
The most impressive thing about Jay to me is how he gets the most out of his pitching when it matters most. And that’s with constant pitching coach changes.
It sure looked like Jay took over the pitching in Omaha by the way. Especially with Wes Johnson having one foot out the door.
Again though, no credit. Just a poster constantly crapping on the man and spewing out consistent bs to fit his own warped narrative.
This guy is complaining about “no superstars.” Chase Shores is a top 10-15 pick talent. And that is being conservative. Not an LSU take. Future draft projections. There are multiple players capable of breaking out into super star status.
That’s weird how Cain and all the a&m money didn’t pull in Skenes or White.

Yet Schossnagel still hired him and is getting the best out of him.
Perhaps the problem was Maineri who clearly had let things slide his last few years at LSU

Debunked this weeks ago. That was clearly not the best class

Different era. He was lucky NIL became a thing and Lipsey was willing to cut big checks which put LSU on the forefront. We are no longer on the forefront, clearly. Thus, Jay really benefited from timing there.

In the thread where you avoided answering any questions about which classes were better and just kept repeating that LSU's wasn't the best?

False. Even pointed out why Miss states was more productive.

He won't. Sadly, he actually thinks he's right about everything.
He's very dumb, and very dishonest.
He attempts to frame everything so that there is no way you can rebut anything he says.
He moves the goalposts, ignores facts, and outright lies to keep from admitting that he's wrong.

This thread would wither away if ya'll would quit engaging with him. He's just doing it for attention.

It's the outright lying that draws me back in, I admit.

Jay is involved with the entire team. Period.
They have a plan in place and he is absolutely involved with the structure of how the team is ran. He's on his 3rd pitching coach in as many years. Jay is involved in mapping out the pitching as well.
You really are not giving the man enough credit. Anybody who knows baseball will tell you how detail oriented he is.
I just don't understand why you choose to go this path. Why choose to crap on the man instead of embracing him? He just won a championship a year ago. A year ago. What are you doing? I just do not understand people like you. And you totally dismiss that, because he had some great players on his team. A lot of great coaches have GREAT players. There are a ton of stacked teams. LSU had to go through the best of the best to win that championship. They had to have "non" stars step up just to make that happen. You had guys giving super star effort who you would never expect it from. And you choose to give him NO CREDIT. You dismiss it.
LSU had to go through Wake, Tenn, and Florida. All full of absolute stars. The best teams. It's like you don't even appreciate what went into winning it all. LSU won a championship series against Florida without ever pitching Skenes. Outside perspective was nobody thought LSU had a 2nd pitcher. I remember fans of other teams questioning who did LSU have behind Skenes to win it all. And yet many of Jay's guys stepped up. Jay brought those pitchers to LSU. All of those guys are responsible for winning that Championship. Under Jay's guidance.
If LSU had folded and missed the playoffs this season then I might even understand your frustration, but they didn't. And really for me it would take two down seasons in a row before I would be concerned. Jay has already proven he is a madman on a mission when he has a disappointing ending. That alone should get you excited, but whatever.
I will never forget the look Jay had on his face after LSU got bounced by USM. I've never seen it before from a coach. He took it personally and went full scorched Earth to improve LSU the following season.
What more can you want from a coach? Why are you so negative and shitting on the man? He is busting his arse. One of the most passionate coaches you could possibly have. And he is a players coach. Tony V is a also a players coach. And you try to use Nolan Cain to shite on Jay Johnson? GTFO with that BS. Cain has no business being compared or mentioned along with Jay Johnson. Cain is attached to a coach who former players say has no relationship and they don't really care to play for him. Meaning either they have loyalty to the school or they have loyalty to money.
Go back and listen to what Jay's players were saying about him after they won a championship. Go listen to what Cade Beloso said about him. I don't know too many players who would immediately praise the coach directly after winning a championship.
Good grief man get a grip.
