Ole Miss, Miss St and Arkansas would be tight. You guys are nuts for wanting to play auburn and Bama every year. The 9 game SEC schedule is going to be enough of a grind as it is.

Fun Fact: LSU V Miss State is something like the 5th most played game in fbs history. Also our oldest rival.

After further googling, maybe the 5th most played SEC game, but definitely not fbs. Idk wtf I’m smoking

I’m down to play them every year, but if there’s an option, I’m taking the path that gets us to the SEC championship most often

They are going to divide the conference into tiers to determine permanent opponents. There is no way LSU would get 3 bottom half programs as their permanent foes.

Unfortunately, that sounds like atm is our pod bottom.

Everything I have read suggests they have abandoned the pod structure likely in favor of a 3-6 schedule with 3 permanent opponents and rotating through 6 of the other 12 in alternating years.

UK would make sense. I guessed South Carolina as Florida's third opponent, but I think UK is a better option for balance.

Ross Dellinger had Florida playing UGA, OU and I think which was squashed as OU will likely still be playing Texas every year. I think they want to have 3 permanent rivals but also keep those 3 within close geographic proximity.

WTF do so many people list ATM with us? That's idiotic. They belong with Texas and OK. It's not a rivalry for us.

We have much more history with:
Bama
Florida
Ole Miss
Auburn
Arkansas

Please explain this to me because it's driving me nuts.

LSU's would be Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and Alabama

Those would be the ones. They may try to keep "the battle for the boot", but that whole thing was manufactured anyway.

Agree. This is where Woodward really needs to earn his keep and I'm glad he's the AD going thru this transition.

I want UF, Bama and Ole miss.

This should be its own thread, but the bama fans are sharing their secrets.

It doesnt really matter what happens next week. We aint going to Atlanta (nor should we). Only possible high note would be beating Auburn. We lost to our biggest rivals already so whats left to play for? Some shite bowl game either way?

Bama and the Mississippi schools, undoubtedly. We don't have significantly more history with the others than aTm though.

Arkansas: 67 Games, first in 1901
Auburn: 57 Games, first in 1901
Florida: 69 Games, first in 1937
Texas aTm: 60 Games, first in 1899

I don't hate aTm as much as the others, but we used to play them all the time up until the 90's

Because of the way the SEC has manufactured that rivalry in the last 8 years or so, starting with making us play them on Thanksgiving Day.

If we don’t get saddled with AssnM, they WILL print cups, just a warning…

I want FL, Bammer, and Ole Piss personally.

There will be *NO* pods, people. That's well known at this point. It'll either be 1-8 (one perm) or 3-6 (3 perms) rotations.
