I would also guess you are not financially invested as much as I am, because if you were, you wouldn't be so cavalier about it
Me and my dad had season tickets on the fifty yard line for about 10 years ending in 2003 when we won the National Championship. We had season baseball tickets in the Old Box starting in 1996 until the very last game at the Old Box.
I now live in Houston, TX and drive home for three baseball series every year and typically buy LSU season football tickets as well. I bought my car the day we played Washington in 2009 and have 90,000 miles on that car driving back and forth from Houston to Baton Rouge to attend all of those baseball and football games since me and my wife moved over here in 2009 upon graduating from LSU, where both of my parents and sister graduated. I donate to the university every year. I also contribute by being a Geaux Zone subscriber so that I can watch the home baseball games that I do not attend. I have a media room in my house that is painted in LSU themed purple and gold.
But you're right, you're a super fan, and I am no where near as financially or emotionally invested in the university that has provided my living since I was a child as my dad graduated from vet school there, provided me and my wife with an education and incredible jobs prior to graduating, blessed me with my wonderful wife, gave my sister a law degree and provided countless childhood memories from my childhood with my dad of attending all of those years of baseball and football games together.

Why do you say LSU "rolled" over? WTH do you want them to do? Threathen to leave the SEC? They proposed a rotating schedule with no perma oppoents and what, 2 other teams agreed?

Well a started up the topic again on the SECrant and of course have been called a crybaby and a pussy, and offered to kick one Sob arse. (Of course that is from the LSU fans.) Are we not our own worst enemy?
If we can not get united about this shite among ourselves we just might as well shut the frick up and as one poster famously stated on here a few years ago, (Know our place... in the back of bus and just be glad we get to ride)
Everything I have done on this matter is for a single purpose, to draw attention to this issue. We are simply a SVP, Mike and Mike,ESPN, sporting news or otherwise national news story away from calling attention to this which will stop it. Otherwise, expect the arse raping on the temporary interim schedule to go on for years to Bama's favor.
Because this guy is 100% correct:
I just did, above. Bitching about it publicly and specifically to our LSU SEC reps will do a lot. Keep the pressure up. Let the SEC scheduling committee know that they are being scrutinized.
Some people on here amaze me that they understand so little about how the world works. Communication is everything. Everything is a negotiation. Lobbying works.
Its like some of you just got bumped off the turnip truck or something.
I know this firsthand because I used to be a lobbyist and even this year I drafted some bills that will become law without any real support by just playing the game.
I am half a century old and I have lived long enough to learn that Everything in life is about politics. (Even football)
We are not crying or whinning any more than anyone else that is getting screwed. We are simply asking for and should be demanding the SEC be run fairly for the benefit of all its members and not like a shitty Alabama good ole boys hunting club. (BTW it should be noted, It wasn't until we got rid of the good ole boys network of coaches that the SEC become the force it is today.)
Why cant we run the SEC office the same way? The scheduling director should be a UCLA grad or something.
We really need a reporter in Destin to ask these questions. Maybe National media will pick it up. Has anyone on here talked to Tim Brando or anyone that will be in Destin?
I am glad to draft the questions to ensure they are picked up by the national media if someone has contacts that will be there. (I will likely be there but I don't have media creditably or pass card to ask questions.)
Please don't respond with beating Bama just resolves this issue. It didn't in 2011, and damn well may not this year as we are going to likely lose at least one game. It will not be Bama in my opinion. (Maybe beating them three times in one season might work but that is about it.)

It really is sad that people are willing to accept shite like this and just say that it's just part of the business. frick business. When they lie, cheat, and steal, they need to be called out. It's funny that if a governmental body was doing this, people would be bitching up a storm and organizing grassroots protests. But those people let businesses walk all over them and they just shrug their shoulders and call it "capitalism." Pathetic double standard.

Don't you all see that they're playing us for suckers? They're using our good nature and assumption of fair play AGAINST US. And then calling us out as crybabies when we do protest... because they know it works.
That's half the fanbase you describe, getting fricked and liking it. Gotta look like a tough guy you know, and tough guys let themselves get fricked. I guess.

It's not bout being scared or any other juvenile stuff.
It's bout the SEC increasing in size from 10 to 12 to 14 to who knows and the changes that need to be made with these out of division schedules due to this increase in conference teams.
These out of division loved "rival" games need to be done away with and you just play 2 different east teams each yr. imo

And yet you probably bitch that Obama takes half your paycheck and gives it to black people.

Seems like they could shuffle it up differently every year based on last year's finish. The pros set their schedule up like that (sort of). This way the projected top teams have to battle each other in different divisions. The way things are now LSU not only has to win their division games but they also must beat the best teams in the other division. A little one-sided in Ala. favor it seems lately. This would at least give everyone an equal chance b/f the season started.

Crying about the schedules

You and a shite ton of other posters in this thread are a bunch of babies. You say we are bitching and crying. Well that is the wrong way to look at it. A more truthful honest way to look at it is LSU is being treated unfairly and you are such a pussy you gladly drop your pants and take it without even objecting.
Anyone that thinks we should accept the fact that Alabama will never have a harder schedule are a bunch of pansy bastards.
No man card for you. You think you are rough and tough for taking it like a man when in reality you are rolling over and getting butt fricked without a fight. THAT isn't very manly! FU to everyone that wants to continue to accept the rape!

I think that would be a travesty but, given the recent past, I would not put it beyond Womack to come up with such a scam..lol

13975 and still no clue!

what does that mean? How are you guys gonna get the SEC to change their scheduling procedures? I'll hang up and listen.

The first thing I would like to do is put a civil tongue in your mouth...how's that for a start ?
Second, I would love to see our admins. vocally stand up and demand the SAME treatment for ALL the SEC teams. That means an equitable/fair schedule and no more SEC VP's from bama...overseeing critical aspects of conference operations w/o some kind of oversight via comittee etc. Better yet, hire alums from outside the conference ! In other words remove as much potential bias from the decision making process as possible !
LSU should at least ASK for more SEC nite games...certain SEC traditions are guarded like Ft. Knoz....others are simply an after-thought or LESS ! Admins. should have been working on an alliance with other schools....LONG ago, now we're basically outvoted and kicked in the face at most every turn. We wield virtually no influence at the conference level...remember the last few yrs. bowl selection process ? And there are countless more incidents in which our leadership group has fallen short...need I say more ?
