Thank you for confirming the post over and over again. I really do appreciate it.

York is a 2 star even though he's the #2 ranked kicker. We also have the #2 ranked long snapper who is also a 2 star. They drag our rating down, but are essential players. Now, would I re-assess who I'm giving offers to if I have a shot at a 5 star OT? Of course, but we still need to fill these positions and every few years these players will affect the rating. That's OK though because I'll take a GW FG over a spot or two in rating.
What’s I’m saying is that the ranking are basically accumulative.
So a 2 star gives you something just not as much as a 5 star.
It’s not like our ranking would go down if we took 5 more 2* to finish the class. It just wouldn’t improve that much as
Or at least that was my impression

Your accumulative doesn't go down, but obviously if a team signs higher ranked commits it will push you down and if they aren't in the cycle for a kicker, LS or lesser rated positions it will affect rating.
Ratings are also affected by attending camps. Kids that go to all the elite camps may get a boost while a kid that commits early and doesn't camp will likely drop. That's the elite camps and team camps. Raymond passed on a higher rated Devin Bush (4 star CB) for guys like Cordale Flott (3 star CB) and Raydarious Jones (3 star QB - CB convert). Jones has ridiculous measurables. His 40 and vertical are very good, but his 4.0 flat shuttle is elite. He could follow in the fotsteps of other QB to CB converts Mo Claiborne and Tre White. I trust CR's judgement.
We need to improve our hits on OT and QB. IMO that's our biggest limiting factor.

Right what I’m saying is at this point he isn’t hurting us. Until we hit a numbers issue he only helps us.

BTW, kudos for an open, substantive discussion. I prefer this to the schoolyard BS that occurs on here too often.
Not saying that I'm immune to being drug into the fray, but this is much preferred.

I reached the same exact conclusion.
At this point, everyone needs to just get a ruler and post a pic and whoever's is biggest wins.

Could not agree more. It's possible for people to just talk sports without a bunch of bullshite. Too many people on every side think they know everything and act like it has to be either love or hate and that there's nothing in between.

All right everybody cyber-bro hug it out, but don't be ghey about it.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Oh I’m in the middle of it all the time
Also I think Cade York is worth taking no matter what. So much of kicking is still mental, but when you find a like like that you take the kid.

We should all be cheering on O as LSU fans.
I didn't cheer for Saban, I didn't cheer for Miles, I don't cheer for Coach O, I cheer for the players. They're the ones on the field. With that being said, I do wish O much success as he leads our guys. Take that for what it's worth

No, I get it and you make a great point. I really only meant that in order for LSU to have success, Oregeron has to do his job well. I don't have much if an opinion either way as far as Orgeron is concerned. I hope he does well so that LSU is successful, but if he doesn't it won't hurt my feelings if he's fired.

You mean 2020? Who knows. But this is 2019. Unless he has issues outside of football keep him away he is going to be the OC in 2019. 100 percent chance

Where did the nonsense start that he would not be? Oh yes, this is the rant.

I’m fine with Ensminger being OC I just hope they get a QB coach to work with Brennan and the younger kids. Slinger did a good job with what he had to work with this season. If the o-line can better protect Burrow next year the offense should be explosive. We got a glimpse of Burrow’s potential the last 4 games this year. He’s the most talented passer we have had since Zach Mettenberger but he’s also got some wheels to run with.

Cameron's NFL Offense was too complicated and it took too long to implement & run plays. It got him fired in Baltimore. He should have never been hired here. He was a terrible QB Coach, out-of-date, and had a temper.
Now LSU's blocking schemes at the LOS are being blamed for QB sacks and pressures. That is the current state of our Offense, FUBAR.
The best Option was the Mastermind Offensive HC/OC as promised by Alleva. In lieu of optimal, if O needs E for trusted confidant, then go out and hire the equivalent of Aranda in a Co/OC/QB Coach like Clemson, Ohio State, ALA, OU, A&M, Tex. and many other top Div I Offenses have on Staff. Fix the Offense and be competitive. The program does not need to tread water another year and expect change to occur without a bona fide change agent with a modern Offensive Scheme.
The common denominator of winning the CFPNC is in Scheme: How You Play The Game. If you have O-Line and Pass Protection problems, like everyone at all levels from HS to NFL, you need to change your Scheme, spread things out, develop a short passing - quick release game, and copy what works. It is a Space and Pace Game, Scoring Pts.
Today's modern Offenses use simplified play books and keep the Defense off guard with Pace and Space.
While it may be true that mixing up personnel packages and looks could keep team's defenses off balance, it takes too long to implement, execute, and complexity is the enemy of implementation. Using the same personnel packages and varying space and tempo, with sweeps, RPOs and a simplified scheme based on 1 on 1 matchups makes playing QB easier, turning avg into great, and great into phenomenal. The True FR CFPNC Trevor Lawrence, Jared Goff, Patrick Mahomes, Baker Mayfield, for example. We have always had good QBs and bad Offenses.
The Rams run the same personnel grouping '11' on 96% of their plays
How the Rams created the NFL's Most Effective Offense
Goff, Brees, Mahomes: Playing QB is easier than ever
