Will Ed Orgeron become one of the most hated men in Louisiana?

I'd say people always looked upon him favorably when he was doing what he really needs to be doing, coaching defensive lines. But with how much this state bleeds purple and gold and with Orgeron seemingly running a proud program into the dirt, will this cause him to basically not being able to go out in public without people being disgusted at him? I think he has a shot to be almost as hated as Curley Hallman.

frick no. He's on a short leash and even if he tanks next year and is shitcanned, he'll be looked at fondly eventually because he's one of us.

The minute he’s fired, he should pack up and bring his tomato-based gumbo as far away from here as possible.

If I saw him in public I’d take my shirt off and fight him. Taste of his own medicine.

I couldn't figure out why he wanted the HC job. He had it made. One of the best abilities is knowing your limitations. His ego got the best of him.

I don't hate Ed at all. Any man would try to get that job in his shoes. He is now set for life.

It isn't his fault, really, that he shouldn't have the job and is in way over his head. I'm sure he really thought he could do it this time. He's just a terrible, terrible HC. Some people are meant to be DLine coaches.

I don't blame an incompetent buffoon for being an incompetent buffoon.

I blame the person who gave them the position.

It is Joe Alleva's fault. He had the power. He had the responsibility. Hate Joe Alleva.

In a way, I almost feel sorry for the guy. He has the great potential to go from a beloved figure in Louisiana to being a complete laughing stock. The future does not seem very bright to me anymore with LSU football.

After Herman spurned LSU for Texas, Alleva should have taken a step back and gone down the list of most qualified coaches. Instead, it seems he just got pissed off and said, "Frick it! I'm hiring Orgeron since HE wants the job!"

His advantage wasn't coaching. His draw was his great recruiting ability.
I've seen little of that since he's been promoted.
His value has diminished to almost zero now.

There are 12 million reasons he wanted to be HC. He's never given a shite about LSU.

As I've said on this forum (and it was deleted), Ed Orgeron is a boisterous buffoon who happens to think he is the shite. The true definition of an a-hole. Him and Ponamsky will be reviled in the state for years to come.

I can't blame O for wanting the job. The most hated man will be Alleva.

I would say that is highly likely considering the path he is currently on. Alleva is already there

I always was a fan of him growing up and wondered why LSU never got him. My uncle who knows a lot of people in college and pro football always told me that coach O was a sleazeball. Now I’m starting to see the writing on the wall. All the talk it was never good timing for him while Les was the coach, I’m starting to think Les stayed away from him for a reason And just hired him because of all the fans support at the time and have being on the Morning radio show

This is the guy from the Duke Lacrosse scandal. LSU hired THAT AD. What did anyone expect to happen?
