Will Clemson's defense be the best LSU has played?

Clemson has the #1 ranked team defense in CFB but they obviously havent had the toughest schedule. Also, LSU already demolished the #2 team defense in UGA. Is Clemson's defense really better than Auburn, UF, and UGA?

No. They will be getting the red headed step child treatment like everyone else.

Talent-wise no.

Scheme-wise yes. Venebles is that dialed in.

I feel Bama, Georgia, and Auburn are better, at least talent wise than Clemson on D.

They played cupcakes all year and they're about to hit a brick wall!

I would agree with you for the most part but they most certainly did not play a cupcake last night.

They gave up 500+ yards last night. OSU made allot of mistakes that could have easily put the game away. Dropped td in end zone, wide open screen pass could have walked in the end zone. Ran into the punter ended up a Clemson td. Osu seem like they moved the ball pretty effectively

Idk if they’re vastly more talented on D than some of the teams we’ve played, but Venables is the best DC we’ve faced off against

No way. They have average lb’s that will be exploited. Clyde will eat.

Their red zone defense is the best we have seen. Venables is going to test Burrow big time.

They didn’t play a cupcake last night but they did play a QB that isn’t anything close to Burrow. If Clemson blitz’s Burrow, like they did Fields, there will be a lot of holes in that defense for Burrow to exploit. Their secondary had to hold on to OSU’s WR’s for dear life at times and gladly took the PI call so as not to give up the big play. They’re game plan was to bottle up OSU in the red zone and give up FG’s and not TD’s. They need the back of that end zone to help contain an elite passing game.

I think it’s on par with Auburn and Florida, but their offense is much better.

This is a final boss level opponent.

Auburn’s is better all around but I think they’ll get the most pressure. Gotta make em pay. Their red zone D is impressive which is an area we struggled vs Auburn.

This....
I am sorry but Clemson's D is not that great. I do not know what game yall were watching but OSU beat themselves. Clemson's D looks really slow. Their linebackers are not good at all and the secondary isnt as well. They were beat many times last night. And dont tell me about stats. They played a high school schedule this year. Of course their stats are good. Key to their offense is honestly stopping the run and playing man to man on the back end. Very similar to what we did with OK. We win this one easily running away by 20+ Some of you all need to relax. Its almost like yall want it to be close or something and are so ready to panic. This game will be very similar to rest of the games we have played this year. We win it easily.

No, this is not the same type of defense that Clemson has had recently; they are nowhere near as good up front in the defensive line. In addition, the ACC was very weak this year, and Clemson should have lost to North Carolina. Ohio State was not as good as people think. If we limit Etienne, we win the game.

Clemson has the #1 ranked team defense

And LSU has #1 offense

This will be the storyline ESPN will push.

But under the eye test Clemson may be the 5th best defense we've seen
