He might as well just take his shot in the draft.

He doesn't need a medical redshirt to play.

2017 True Freshman
2018 Redshirt
2019 Redshirt Sophomore
2020 Redshirt Junior (COVID year doesn't count)
2021 Technically still a RS Junior
2022 Redshirt COVID Senior

He will most likely transfer and we will root for him from a distance. Good luck young man. Thank you

Y'all just make shite up.

Why would he transfer?
His parents already said he would be back.

Run it back one more year if possible. You have to feel for him not getting a fair shot. Regardless of who the rant thinks was the better if he can’t come back this year

Let it go. We have our QB1 already coming in next year in Howard. Time to move on.

Entire family must be devastated. Playing that game after being so severely injured took another level of guts and will.

Parents say plenty of stuff

Assuming Max Johnson performs well, he’s not coming back unless he decides he wants to go into coaching instead of trying to make it to the league

He doesn’t need a redshirt year. He’s got that super senior year from Covid.

Wouldn’t matter. Team will have moved on and we are stacked at qb

From here forward he will be a backup at LSU

If he hasn’t already had a medical redshirt year, then yes he could.

I do not believe there is a limit on medical redshirts.

I can’t think of a situation where it makes sense to burn the medical redshirt.

If LSU is having a great season leading into the Bama game, why would the coaching staff change up a system that’s working?

If LSU is having a terrible season, why burn a year of eligibility for a veteran team member when they’ll be nothing to gain?
Here’s an extremely easy scenario for you. LSU wins with Max but he gets hurt against Florida, Ole Miss or Bama.

Myles can come back and LSU is a top 10 team that undefeated or has 1 loss.

Then you burn it and try to get into the playoffs

Our 2nd string is a 180 pound true freshman. Our 3rd string is a walk on true freshman.

What the frick are you talking about?

He was a jr last year
Has an extra covid year and will likely get an injury redshirt year assuming he doesn't come back which sounds like he will miss season
Should easily get another year despite already using his redshirt season when they changed the rule and allowed him to play in four games without burning redshirt

Something has to be going seriously wrong at QB for Brennan to ever take another meaningful snap at LSU.

Our Max turns an ankle.

Receivers would be catching right handed throws after catching lefty throws much of the season.
Lol ok? You act like it’s catching a fastball or a slider. A spiral is a spiral. Nuss and Howard are right handed QBs so they all better be ready.

Blocking schemes would have to change.
No they don’t. At all. Just like they didn’t last year.

quote:

Next season, Max will have had two years of eligibility used and Walker Howard enters the picture...presumably not because he was offered a fair and balanced shot at starting.
You think they told Walker the job was his?

You play the best player. End of story. If Myles decides fo come back and he’s better than everyone else then you play him.

God you people are insufferable.

Honest to god who do you think will be a better QB in 2022 - Myles Brennan entering his 6th year in a college program that’s recovered from a broken non-throwing arm or true freshman Walker Howard?

You absolutely let Myles come back and you put them all in a room and play the best player

It will depend on how the recovery goes and rehab. He most likely will be granted a med RS if he sits entire year. It would be hard to see him unseat Max from QB1 if Max has a good to great year. IF i was betting he sits entire year and fully recovers w/ good quality rehab. He will transfer in spring to be able to compete and play in the fall. Most likely a Group of V team or possibly a Power 5 Team that needs a qb immediately.
