No.
He has one elite year.
His last year was solid for any other receiver.
On top of that, he was never on chase or jets level. Even before the injury.

What part of his athletic testing screams talent to you?

Perrilloux and Cecil collins say hi.
Boutte had half of a good season and was forced the ball when others deserved to get it. Not that good of a player.

I think the guy did very little training and prep and was coming off a couple of nagging injuries. If he focused on improving himself, he would’ve tested way better.
His problem is that he doesn’t have the right drive to be great.

He was Kadron Boone 2.0, just without motivation and a drive to succeed. So basically a poor man's Kadron Boone

but you would be correct to point out that he was wasted last season.
We put that kid in every position to succeed.

May I bring Justin Vincent to the table?

Cecil the diesel by a landslide.
Jamarcus at least went #1 in the draft.

He has nobody to blame but himself.

Dude was a complete fricking bum last year and should’ve been benched multiple times. He probably quit on more routes than he had catches. I wish I could’ve been in the scouting rooms as teams watched film of this loser give up on half the balls thrown to him.

When the kid was a freshman, he was absolutely electric

Dude has been a head case for a while. This shouldn’t be a surprise.

What is personal talent?

Most overrated guy to come through the program in recent memory. He had one good game against a terrible Ole Miss defense and he was immediately crowned the next great one. Just didn't work out that way

The young man made his bed...now he must sleep in it.

He wasn't the same after the injury. You could see he lost that burst.

Boutte '20 and '21 version was a 1st rd talent (go watch the tapes). The '22 version not so much (again, watch the tapes).
I'll defer to others why he fell so far.
