Will Boutte go down as the biggest waste of personal talent in LSU history?

When the kid was a freshman, he was absolutely electric. Imagine how much better he could have been had Myles Brennan played the entire season. But to see what he was, setting SEC records with Max Johnson throwing him the ball, going from a 1st round lock to just not giving AF, getting lazy, attitude, talking about transferring, etc. etc……..
Will he get the top award for the one who pissed his talent away? I guess it’s yet to be seen. At least Cecil the Diesel played in the league for a little while.

not even close. he was great up until his injury, but you would be correct to point out that he was wasted last season. i'm still worried about our passing game. i believe that with either Nuss or JD, our number of games we win will be the same, but that it will be a lot more fun to watch with Nuss. probably win ten with either qb.

I don’t know exactly what happened after the injury, but he didn’t seem to be the same mentally or physically. Maybe one day, he’ll get back there.

People talk about him “oh he was wasted, Daniels wouldn’t throw to him”
Nabors seemed to have a fine season.
Blaming the QB would be a better argument if other players in our team didn’t have better seasons with the same QB.
