Most overrated guy to come through the program in recent memory. He had one good game against a terrible Ole Miss defense and he was immediately crowned the next great one. Just didn't work out that way

That's not really true either. He finished his freshman year with 3 straight 100+ yard games, had a huge game to start 2021 against UCLA with 140+ yards and 3 TDs, and he led the nation in TDs when he got hurt 6 games into 2021. He just wasn't quite the same after he got hurt.

Never heard this about a QB in the off season. Like ever. First time.

Cecil, with a somewhat normal brain, and no psycho tendencies, would have been the next true Heisman talent - if he stayed straight & narrow!

Nope, his best season was with two receivers who took coverage and left him open. Two All pro's actually

Jamarcus Russell?

Not by a long shot. Jamarcus had a great career at LSU - nothing wasted about his talent in college.

A real wasted talent at LSU was, of course, Russell Sheppard. Not his fault - the coaches just never utilized him to his full talents.

He didn't play with JJ and Chase.

Malachi Dupree says hi. Not that he had a great QB either.

ETA: I guess you have to put Brandon Harris high on that list as well, although he was making it work in coaching last I heard.

You must be about 12 years old.

Cecil Collins and Jamarcus Russell would like to have a word.
