There is a lot of truth in what he said. But he shouldn't have said it. Some of the replies in here are worse though.

I agree with this part. I'll add that Les has a fire burning inside that started on 1/9 and keeps getting hotter. He is turning up the heat in recruiting, hiring assistants, and probably a few other ways that aren't apparent to us. Far from a decline, this program is rising. Les' best days are ahead, and I think one day we will all call him a great coach - even a douche bag like Will Blackwell.

There is a difference between really appreciating Les for what he is, which I believe most LSU fans do, and those fans on here like Choctaw that think the man walks on water and is infallible.
It's nearly impossible to have debate on here at all because of both extreme sides on this issue.

True, all coaches do. Some more than others. I think Les is a very reactive coach. He waits until his hand is basically forced to make changes and is some cases still doesn't.
Again, all that said, he's a great coach and I am glad LSU has him.

I know he is butt hurt but seriously? Kingsbury can't coach a defense worth shite. Any SEC team could run for 350+ yards on his D. Cam Cameron is a better offensive mind than him and he isn't even our head coach. A fairly mediocre Texas team ran the ball right down their throat for 300 yards on 60 carries.

You know what? THIS! Metarl, that's what was bugging me, and I couldn't put my finger on it. Les would never betray Blackwell, even though his biggest loss was due to oline play as much as anything.

Same thing people said about Texas, Florida, Miami etc etc. Coaches matter. No program can win consistently without a good coach.
