I have tried my best to believe BK was different and he was the correct hire but his selection of staff, lack of game prep and in game coaching makes me believe that LSU is on the verge of having a Jimbo situation.

How much longer will BK get to resurrect this disaster?

Back-to-back 10 wins seasons.

The #2 recruiting class.

OMG it's a disaster.

Is 10 wins the standard by which you judge success?

It’s not but it’s also not reason to call the state of the program a “disaster”.

I’m here too guys. Positive and sound thoughts are hard to come by, but every once in a while you find the needle in the haystack.

Maybe right now, but if what Speigleman said yesterday is true I wouldn't count on it staying that way!

First, our current program isn’t a disaster. It was when he hired Kelly. If you want to say out last 2 games have been a disaster i won’t disagree, but currently we’re a good not great team.

Second, Jimbo Fisher took over a 7-6 team and went 9-4,8-5, 9-1, 8-4,5-7, 7-6

Can we stop pretending going 10-3 2-3 times in a row is the same thing as never winning 10 games?

Some fans are just deluded thinking we’re historically better than 9-10 wins (ala Bama) but that’s just not the case. It’s fine wanting our program to be truly consistently elite, everyone wants that. Looks like it’ll take more time to get there, but the program isn’t a dumpster fire.

He will be fine as long as the recruits who have committed for next year actually show up on campus. If they start decommiting then you have a Jimbo situation on your hands.

He’s done much better than Fisher with way less talent.

Firing Orgeron mid season left a massive hole in the program. The manifestations were many and myriad.

Dumbest move ever,….but I digress.

Kelly needs one thing more than anything else. More ball players. Next year should get some more in, the following year things will get real.

What would you call the USCe game before Sellers was injured? Down by 24 with no answer for the QB.

This is revisionist history.

those magical 10-win seasons, we finished 10-3 and 10-4.

10-win seasons were truly a great accomplishment decades ago when teams only played an 11-game regular season, there was no SECCG, and only 12 bowl games. So back then, 10 wins was truly special.

Now? With a 12-game regular season (with 3 cupcakes) and 40+ bowls, getting to 10 wins isn't nearly as special.

10 wins doesn’t mean as much when you play 14 and 13 games a year. The guy loses 3 to 4 games per year. That got Les Miles fired and he won a natty.

Ten-win seasons are not the standard. Championships are the standard. But no one wins championships every year. No one wins championships in their first two years.

Ten wins is a good jumping off point.
