If Burrow hadn't played at LSU, Max would probably break LSU records this season.

LSU would have to have a helluva run for max to get in that conversation though.

If Brennan doesn't get hurt, Max never starts a game.

We've had elite weapons. Max is OK. They're making him look better. YAC has ti be ridiculous. He virtually NEVER hits a long pass that isn't wide open

Yes and no. His shorter throws are usually pretty good. It's the long ones where he has trouble.

I'm not sure if he isn't getting set or what but he consistently under throws the long balls. The receivers usually have to ease up on their route to let the ball drop on them. Palmer had to back pedal into the endzone on his long catch.

If LSU can run the table and win The SEC then he definitely has a good shot otherwise no chance.

A stellar year this year MIGHT get him in the conversation next year, assuming top tier sec caliber offensive linemen start sprouting out if the soil of the levee

He has got to get to the point he commands the field and dictates the game on both sides of the ball.

Yeah, Joe had the stats but it became a noticeable fear on the other side of the line when he stepped on the field.

If you’re looking for a dark horse candidate, check out the Fresno State quarterback

He will need a big game against multiple good teams - even if we lose and he does everything right. But he needs to keep us in the game in a shootout against Bama (win or lose) and keep us in the game in a shoot out (and possibly beat) Ole Miss to even have a shot. We also have to make at least 9 wins. Rare for Heisman's to go to anyone not on a top 10 or 15 team anymore.

He needs to just keep having 3TD games in pretty much every other game as well.

The real question here is Who is even in the heisman race?

Not spencer rattler.. He may the most overhyped player ever. Getting booed & chants to bring in his backup at home.

Boutte has a better shot than Max

We have to run the table, Max throws for 5 TDs on Bama, and our D would have to crush Bama's QB into a horrible day. Then he has a chance =)

No. If he has several outstanding games, maybe next year.

Unfortunately, no. We would have to win out with him leading the team to be in consideration.
